We specialise in delivering exceptional

events, anywhere. Banks, warehouses,

townhouses, libraries: we reimagine and

transform London’s most iconic venues.

In 2013 our founder, Claire Lawson set about

to disrupt the sleepy market of events with

its white linen, poor production, bland and

uninspiring drone-like service. She envisioned

an events company where extraordinary people

curated memorable events in iconic venues.

The inspiration for the name Camm & Hooper

came from Sydney Camm & Ralph Hooper,

inventors of the vertical take-off jet engine.

It was their ability to invent new formats,

functionality and technology to be able to

perform in all situations that inspired our

events, restaurant and bar concept.

Shifting paradigms, innovative thinking and

an entrepreneurial spirit is at the heart of the

Camm & Hooper team. We’ve revolutionised

event spaces inside some of London’s most

iconic buildings to host unforgettable events

that rethink the experience.

You’ll find us inside some of the most amazing

and unusual event spaces in London – from banks

to warehouses, conservatories to libraries, our

concept and development work is award-winning.

We offer world-class hosting and event

management services, creating unforgettable

celebrations for you and your guests. Our food

and drink offering is expertly tailored to suit any

event. As testament to our pioneering flair, our

own CBE (Chief Booze Engineer), infuses spirits

to our clients’ delight. These are delightfully

displayed in the 800+ cut glass crystal decanters

hand selected by Lady Lovejoy (Claire’s Mum).

These expertly crafted spirits, be it our venison

and truffle oil gin or our homemade buttered rum,

are but one of our Camm & Hooper signatures.

Our devoted leadership

team bring a wealth of

knowledge and experience

from some of the most

formidable businesses

in the industry.

Claire is one of our inspiring

co-founders, setting up Camm

& Hooper in October 2013 following

a stellar award-winning career in

hotel management.

Claire started her career at Marriott

UK, looking after a portfolio of

74 hotels, before she left to join

The Brewery in London as General

Manager. In her seven years in

charge, Claire doubled the revenue

to £12m per year, before leading

the sale of the business (twice!).

She went on to become Commercial

Director of the Grove Resort in

Hertfordshire and then a business

consultant for high-profile events.

Claire’s mission is to continue to

evolve the events industry model,

by using innovation, creativity and

a passion for perfection.

Debra’s a true entrepreneur,

having started, led and sold several

businesses across three continents.

In 2007, Debra and her team founded

Mitie Client Services which became

the industry leader in front-of-house

services – turning over £22m in only

five years. The company was named

one of the Best 100 Small Companies

to Work For by The Sunday Times,

and received their coveted Special

Training award.

Debra’s international career is

dedicated to service excellence,

and she has a proven track record

for building and operating successful

businesses. In 2015, she was named

Women of Achievement winner

by Women in the City, and one

of the top 10 people in facilities

management by RICS. She joined

Camm & Hooper in 2018.

Jason’s all about incredible service.

He’s spent 20 years honing his craft

by working at the highest level

in many of London’s best-known

establishments and making sure

guests always have a fabulous time.

He oversaw the food and beverage

operations at Firmdale establishments

The Charlotte Street Hotel and Soho

Hotel before moving to members’

club The Hospital Club; and now

at Camm & Hooper, Jason focuses

on delivering exciting events that

offer a unique edge. Thankfully, he’s

obsessed with attention to detail,

and uses his enviable experience and

leadership skills to build teams that

champion the same high standards

and focus on elegant service.

Darren’s proud to have created

a dynamic sales team at Camm

& Hooper, and well he should be.

He’s got 13 years’ experience in

corporate event sales, covering

both venue and hotels. He spent

four years working at The Brewery,

dealing with multi-year event contracts

at this £15m-yearly-turnover venue.

From there he moved to The Grove,

where he oversaw sales for this 5-star

£32m-turnover location, and secured

a landmark £500k multi-year deal

with the National Football League.

His team at Camm & Hooper

combine selling with personality,

quick response times and event

innovation to deliver fantastic results.

Simon has over 20 years’ experience

working in senior finance roles for

a range of SMEs and blue-chip

companies, bringing a wealth of

knowledge to our business.

He joins the Camm & Hooper

family after a successful period as

a commercial finance consultant,

working across projects for a diverse

range of clients, including Sodexo,

Stoke Rochford Hall Spa Hotel,

Babcock, Morgan Advanced Materials

and Positive Momentum Partners.

Before this, Simon worked with our

MD Debra at Mitie Client Services,

first as Head of Finance at London

Bridge, then as Director of Finance,

Shared Services for Rolls-Royce.

When it comes to delivering innovative, creative and exceptional food

for events, Ronnie Murray and his team reign supreme. Our chefs deliver

first-class food that fuses fun with formal.

Ronnie joins us after a career spent working

in many of London’s top restaurants, including

J Sheekey, The Ivy and Scott’s of Mayfair, where

he was on the launch team. Ronnie previously

spent seven years as Executive Group Chef for

Hix Restaurants, looking after everything from

daily changing restaurant menus to intimate

dinners and festival catering.

Ronnie’s focus is on using the best seasonal

ingredients and building delicious dishes around

those. ‘I like to make the ingredients the star,’ he

says. ‘I love to showcase fantastic meat, fish and

vegetables. We’ve got so much fantastic produce

in Britain, let’s look on our doorstep before we

go further.’

Ronnie’s developed some very special menus for

our venues – but if you need something bespoke,

he’s on hand to create a unique offering suitable

for your event.

No compromises are made when it comes to the

quality of our food, and we make sure that every

guest is presented with a delicious feast to enjoy.

Our 50-strong cocktail list is a selection of our signature cocktails,

curated by our Chief Booze Engineer Mr P. J. Hobbs. His masterful way

with flavours involves infusing spirits with herbs, spices and fresh fruits

to create drinks that guests will love.

We don’t deliver the same old, same

old when it comes to drinks menus.

The Camm & Hooper way is all

about innovation and personalisation.

Never ones to follow the crowd,

our Chief Booze Engineer, Patrick

Hobbs and the team choose to

infuse. Taking a few of our favourite

spirit brands, they imbue them

with herbs, spices and fresh fruit

in the booze lab to create some

truly special drinks.

From the booze lab, our creations

have been inspired by everything

from childhood visits to the sweet

shop, to dancing in the streets at

Notting Hill Carnival.

It doesn’t always go to plan but

for every cloud, there’s a silver

lining. While toying with Johnnie

Walker Black, sugar, butter and

bitters to create toffee scotch,

we accidentally burnt the sugar.

But our meddling had actually

added a delicious depth to the

recipe, and so our Burnt Toffee

Scotch Old Fashioned was born.

Never the afterthought, our drinks

are the centrepiece of a Camm &

Hooper event.

Our clients can pick their favourite

unique concoction to create superb

cocktails, mixers or simply serve

over ice at their event.

Delivering a great event is about many elements

working seamlessly together, and Production Plus

are our fantastic technical services partner.

With nearly 40 years’ experience, this award-winning company

creates bespoke settings and backdrops as well as specialist

staging for any occasion.

Producing up to 200 large scale events and 600 small productions

a year, they were recently awarded the prestigious ‘DMT Foundation’

Supplier of the Year award.

They employ over 50 full-time staff – including technicians,

warehouse operatives, administration, finance, events sales and

planning, logistics & technical experts – which means they can

offer the full production package.

Production Plus are fantastic at delivering and managing

A UNIQUE CONVERTED WAREHOUSE IN SOUTH EAST LONDON.

For distinctive events with edge, Tanner Warehouse

fits the bill. Located in Bermondsey Street SE1, this

converted warehouse offers 3,000 square feet of

versatile events space.

It’s perfect for large, laid-back events including

product launches, weddings, wrap parties and

corporate dinners for up to 300 guests.

Prior to its transformation under Camm & Hooper

in 2013, 50 Bermondsey Street housed a tannery

for many years. It’s also spent time as a chocolate

factory and an artists’ studio.

Sumptuous surroundings and period detailing: the Grade-II

Victorian Bath House is a hedonistic hideaway in the heart

of London, a stone’s throw from Liverpool Street Station.

This subterranean space dates from 1817, and has housed

baths under varied ownerships for almost a century. Having

withstood the bombs of two World Wars, the Victorian Bath

House has lived through many incarnations, including a

restaurant, bar and nightclub.

HOW WE GIVE BACK

At Camm & Hooper, we’re proud to support charities

close to our heart in many different ways.

Every year we host a fundraising event for

children’s charities, The Triathlon Trust and

Starlight Children’s Foundation. Last year’s

event at Banking Hall, was hosted in conjunction

with Paralympic silver medallist Lauren

Steadman, and raised more than £12,000.

Six Storeys provides the home for charity

Give Out, a charity raising funds for LGBTQI

causes worldwide. Funding activists and their

organisations around the world to promote

and protect the rights of LGBTQI people, our

Soho venue is the location for their donor and

board meetings.

Filanthropy* organise brilliantly fun parties that

cultivate collaboration for social change. At the

events, hosted in Tanner Warehouse, three social

entrepreneurs discuss how they would spend

£1,000. The aim is to then help each project

reach that target.

We also like to get out and about, and have

taken the Camm & Hooper experience to the

NHS Whittington Hospital. We provided catering

for patients attending a conference on cancer

treatments run by Macmillan and look forward

to making this an annual tradition.

As a charity close to our hearts, Macmillan

is now one of our chosen charities that we’ll

support throughout the year. We’ll cater for

the yearly Support Conference which gives

aid to those who need it most. We’ll also

get involved in the World’s Biggest Coffee

Morning that happens every September and

continue to make dontations and help raise

money throughout the year.
