NEXT term’s theme Wisdom, ancient and modern. ‘Wisdom, ancient and modern’ is the theme of REtoday for April 2016. As the new GCSEs in Wales and England require much more textual study, and as primary pupils’ encounter with the Bible is promoted through the latest major curriculum project in RE to explore Christianity, studying ancient text and making wise interpretations is a skill RE needs. And in times when RE is ever under pressure, teachers need to be wise in ‘fighting their corner’ too. If you have a contribution to this rich theme – modern wisdom from your pupils perhaps? – contact the editor: [email protected]
