Masthead- the masthead is always shown on a contents page (name of mag).
Issue date- The date of when the magazine was made is on the contents page.
Image- On a contents page there are usually a lot of pictures. They are always different sizes and one is always bigger compared to the other sub images.
Contents listing- The text of contents listing is usually set out as; the page number, 1 or 2 words to attract attention to the article, then a brief explanation underneath.
Simple consistent colour scheme- the colour scheme of a contents page is usually around 3 colours. Most of the time the colour scheme from the cover page will carry through to the contents.
On a contents page there is always a column structure used for the layout. There are around 3 or 4 columns.
Headings- headings are used to divide up the contents into featured and regulars.
Page numbers on pictures anchor them to written contents
Small number of fonts used.
