I like that the picture takes up the majority of the page, and that the writing is only small, as a lot of writing may not appeal to readers, and only the top stories need to be featured in the contents.

This is a contents page from an issue of Vibe music magazine.

The cover is all a grey tone, and the red heart stands out, and adds flare to the page. The black ‘CONTENTS’ also stands out. I think the formation of the letters is also really effective, and gives the cover an edgy look.

The writing is small as not everyone looks at the content features at most people look at the images.

The photo covers the hole page and goes fight to the edges (bleed)
