● graduates see their bar/bat mitzvah as a beginning/transition/step rather than an end● graduates are encouraged to make aliyah and join the IDF● students see the temple as a center for learning and socialization● teachers engage our parents in Jewish learning● students live Jewish values● graduates develop a natural curiosity● graduates have an established love for Judaism● there is a spiral curriculum from preschool through adult learning● graduates are active members of USY● learning happens on a continuum from early childhood to adult learning● graduates will pass Judaism on to future generations
● parents enter into a brit (covenant) with the synagogue/school● parents live Judaism and Torah● learning includes a work/study internship for post BM kids● parents demonstrate to their kids why Judaism is important to them● parents take parallel classes with their children● graduates build a Jewish library over time● ongoing, lasting learning is promoted● the program has a unified curriculum with plans to keep kids after Bar/Bat
