PURPOSE At Punch, we commit to provide our Publicans with the highest levels of service and support. It is vital, therefore, that our Field Operations Teams undertake ongoing professional development, equipping them with the most up to date knowledge, skills and experience to perform their roles to the highest of standards.

PRINCIPLES OF CPD

C - CONTINUING• Development is a continuing cycle of learning

in which Field Operators actively seek toimprove, knowledge, expertise, skills andperformance.

• Punch will ensure that Field Operators investa minimum of 20 hours for CPD annually. Ofthe 20 hours at least 10 hours must be formalCPD. The remainder can be informal CPD.

P – PROFESSIONAL• Learning objectives will be relevant and

tailored to the specific needs of the role and theindividual.

• Where relevant professional training andqualifications will form part of CPD.

• CPD is in place to develop and continuouslyimprove business outcomes for both thePublican and Punch.

D - DEVELOPMENT• Development is owned and managed by

the individual Field Operator. They arerequired to demonstrate their commitment tostaying current with professional qualificationsand new techniques.

• As the Punch business evolves and changes,the Field Operator and their manager willensure that their CPD Plans are appropriatefor what the business requires.

CPD REQUIREMENTS • All Field Operators will take responsibility for

their own Continuous Development Plan andContinuous Development Record

• All Field Operators will be supplied with thecompany policies and procedures relating toCPD.

• Upon request Field Operators will be able toprovide evidence of compliance with the CPDpolicy.

• HR and Line Managers will be responsible foradvising Field Operators what training andqualifications are mandatory requirements fortheir role.

• HR and Line Managers will help staff tounderstand what constitutes CPD and how toPlan and Record Development.

• Field Operators will be expected to seeksupport and guidance, when required, toensure they have the necessary knowledge,skills and expertise to be competent in theirrole

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

Punch Development Manager and New Business Development Manager (PDM & NBDM)

• Level 5 Multi –Unit Management Qualification

REGIONAL VALUATION SURVEYOR (RVM)

• All members of AssocRICS, MRICS andFRICS must complete 20 hours of CPD andrecord their CPD activity online by 31stDecember.

• Of the 20 hours at least 10 hours must beformal CPD. The remainder can be informalCPD.

The Field Operations Team covers all the roles in the remote Punch Field Teams. It is referred to as a Business Relationship Manager (BRM) in the Pubs Code.
