This Addendum No. 1 is being issued to all prospective bidders via the Town of Vernon web site. Acknowledgement will be required on the Proposal Form. Item No. 1: BIDDING AND CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS: PROPOSAL FORM All bidders shall note the following ADDITION to the PROJECT MANUAL for the project. The Bid Form provided within the project manual has been modified to include UNIT PRICES for Masonry Mortaring. See item 5 on page P-2; provide the information requested with the Proposal Form. (See Attachment #1). Item No. 2: GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITIES All bidders shall note the following ADDITION to the PROJECT MANUAL for the project. Amend Section 01 04 00, Part 1 Description, paragraph G, to read as follows: G. The Contractor shall protect the building and its contents from weather and other intrusions during construction. He shall protect all completed work from damage by subsequent contractors and others during construction. FURTHER, HE SHALL PROVIDE AND INSTALL TEMPORARY CLOSURES WITHIN EACH OF THE THREE STOREFRONTS AS WELL AS THE ENTRY TO THE UPPER FLOORS. THE TEMPORARY CLOSURES SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED USING DIMENSION LUMBER AND EXTERIOR PLYWOOD AND SHALL BE LOCATED, CONFIGURED AND ERECTED AS DESCRIBED AND SHOWN ON REVISED SHEET A1.2 (See Attachment #2). STORE THE EXISTING SIGN ON-SITE; AND HE SHALL REINSTALL THE SIGN AS

DIRECTED BY THE OWNER AT COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT. FURTHER, THE

CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE, PROTECT AND REINSTALL THE EXISTING SIGN

LIGHTING FIXTURE AT THIS TENANT SPACE. (See Attachment #3).

THE UNDERSIGNED HEREBY DECLARES that:

A. No person or persons other than those named herein are interested in this Proposal or in the

Contract proposed to be taken; that it is made without any connection with any other person or persons making

any proposal for the same work, and is in all respects fair and without collusion or fraud; that no person acting

for or employed by the Town of Vernon (the Town) is now or will hereafter be directly or indirectly interested

therein, or in any portion of the profits thereof in any manner which is unethical or contrary to law;

B. He has read the information contained herein relating to the work;

C. That in the event a Contract, as contemplated by this Proposal, is awarded to him, he will enter

into a written Contract with the Town, and agrees that in case he fails to do so, the Town may determine that the

bidder has abandoned the Contract, and thereupon the acceptance of this Proposal and the award shall be null

and void, and that the proposal guarantee may be forfeited in whole or in part to the Town as the Town may

determine, and he will, by such

Contract, agree to furnish all materials herein required, within the time stipulated by the Town, will perform all

services and will assume all liabilities and obligations connected therewith, all in accordance with the Contract,

Specifications, and Instructions to Bidders, all of which are made a part hereof, and will accept in full payment

therefore the following sums, to wit:
