Control Cards

Control card entities are used to create solver control cards such as results file I/O options, CPU and memorylimits, and others. A solver interface template must be loaded which defines control cards in order to create andedit control cards. Control cards are shown under the Card folder within the Model Browser.

HyperMesh control cards are used to support many different things for the RADIOSS (Bulk Data), OptiStructuser profile.

The following I/O option entries are supported as control cards in HyperMesh when appearing before the first

SUBCASE statement. In many cases, information supplied on these entries is overridden by repeateddefinitions within subcases.

HISOUT Controls the contents of the.hgdata file.

INFILE When using the two-file setup,INFILE indicates the prefix ofthe file containing the bulkdata information.

Its extension must be.fem.

LIFE Controls the output of fatiguelife results.

LOADLIB Defines the libraries to beloaded for external responses(DRESP3).

This option is intended formulti-body dynamics andtransient solutionsequences with whichusers often require resultsfor only a subsection of amodel, but it is applied toall solution sequences.

MPCFORCES Controls the output of MPCforce results.

OFREQUENCY Defines a set of frequencies atwhich results are output forfrequency response analysis.

THERMAL Controls the temperatureoutput for heat transferanalysis.

Actran

The last step before creating the Actran input deck is completing control cards, which define the properties ofthe model that are not directly related to the mesh. You can define the title, analysis specifications,dimensions of the problem, interfaces between incompatible meshes, a color map and frequency responsefunction solution, external structural vibration, and acoustic sources.

Control cards can be accessed from the control cards panel from the Analysis page.

A control card can be in one of three states:
