Advocated the Unificationof Ireland. They still today refuse to sitin Parliament even whenelected. They were often consideredto be the Political wing ofthe Irish Republican Army. 4. Sinn Fein Sinn Fein members such as MartinMcGuinness, Gerry Kelly and Gerry Adamshave been alleged to be IRA members. Sinn Fein do not recognise Northern Irelandas being a part of the UK and instead makethe assertion that it is under BritishOccupation. 5. Whats the Solution?Arefusual to recognise the full borders ofthe state. A refusal to sit in Parliament even whenDemocratically elected. Potential Involvement in TerroristActivities 6. The Response of TwoPriministers. Terrorists should not begiven a voice. Gerry Adams voice wasdubbed over on TV. Until 2010, the BNP only allowedmembership of the party to IndigenousBritish. BNP members are currently banned fromholding positions in the Prison service,Police service and also senior positions inthe Anglican Church. 10. Freedom of Speech VsIncitment of Hatred. The European Parliament has ruled that banning the BNPfrom trade unions, or certain professions is a violation ofHuman rights. However the Law in England gives the BNP freedom tofunction as a Political Party provided that they do notbreech the point of openly inciting hatred. However someBNP meetings are held in private. Organizations such as Unite against Fascism a pressuregroup, believe in protesting to prevent any BNP membersfrom having a platform, they regularly gatecrash BNPmeetings. In the 2009 UK election, the BNP were allowed for the firsttime to broadcast their Party Political Broadcast, providedthat it followed the Law. The BNP currently have two members in the EuropeanParliament.
