- Discuss how live transmitions transform previous controversies

- Discuss how live transmitions may transform themselves into a new (?) controversy.



Focus: live transmitions of mega sporting events (Fifa World Cup)

More and more, they are associated with previous meta-controversies

Methodology

Tweets (using YTR and Hootsuite) during live transmitions and later visualize the graphs in Gephi (partnership: UFVJM)

Methodological challenges:

- How to explore real-time controversies?

- Which are the best word/expression/hashtag to “follow” the actors?

- FIFA promised 29 seconds- Nicolelis had prepared 16 seconds' presentation

- The transmission lasted 07 seconds
