Many hotels believe they’ve got a memorable past. But it’s few who can say their history is rooted in legends. And it’s even fewer who have had 80 miles of highway built, just so the governor could get his favorite drink. The legend of Huey P. Long and the Airline Highway is just one of so many that define our brilliant foundation in the early 1900s.

The Roosevelt Hotel and the land on which it sits are filled with history. In the 1830s, the era was home to the State Capitol, Charity Hospital, Christ Episcopal Church, and the mansions of famed Louisianians of French and Spanish descent. That period culminated in 1893 with the opening of the lavish Grunewald Hotel, built by Bavarian-born businessman Louis Grunewald to replace the Grunewald Hall performing arts center. It was so successful, that by 1900, they began acquiring the adjoining property. At the stroke of

midnight on New Year’s Eve 1907, a 400-room, 14-story annex opened to chimes and whistles.

When the 116-year-old hotel reopened in 2009, it had not been seen by the public eye since Hurricane Katrina devastated the Louisiana coast in August 2005. In restoring the hotel, the goal was to celebrate the history of the building by uncovering the beauty of the details that had been buried over the years, bringing back the original grandeur of the hotel.

NEW ORLEANS LAKEFRONT AIRPORT

! CONVENTION GUIDE! |! OCTOBER 19 - 23, 2016! ! ! ! ! ! ! 6

Our Philosophy: We lead because we hold ourselves to a higher standard. And we do it for one reason - to provide pilots and passengers with the ultimate in safety, security and dependability.

Our Mission: To make New Orleans Lakefront Airport and Flightline First the gateway to New Orleans for corporate and general aviation aircraft and to be the best FBO ever We're dedicated to safety ... first, last and always: The safety of our client's passengers and aircraft is paramount and the foundation for everything we do. It is the rationale behind our strict training and "zero tolerance" policy. When it comes to safety, we never compromise.

We provide solutions: Many FBOs offer a full range of services, Flightline First does it with New Orleans hospitality and charm.

We treat all our Guest and Pilots equally: Piston, turbo-prop or jet ... you are important to us because you are our aviation family.

We provide superior service and value: What sets us apart? The total experience. We put our FBO at your beck and call.Ground transportation, in-flight catering, hospitality and dining reservations. We put safety, courtesy and value before profit.

CJP has negotiated no landing, ramp or overnight fees. A CJP Jet A fuel price will be announced before the event.

GREGORY A. FEITHCitation Accident & Safety Review

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 2010:30AM - 12:00PM

After 20 years of government service at the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), Mr. Feith “departed the government pattern.” Technically too young to enjoy the spoils of retirement, he is engaging in his second career using his experience to enhance aviation safety and security in the private sector. During his tenure with the NTSB, Mr. Feith served in a variety of positions, including Air Safety Investigator (Field) Unit Supervisor, Regional Director, and Senior Air Safety Investigator.

He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

He served as the Investigator-In-Charge (IIC) of the NTSB “Go-Team,” from 1993 until his departure in 2001, and was either the IIC or U.S. Accredited Representative for the following notable accident investigations:

*Valujet Douglas DC-9, May 1996, Everglades, Florida; In-flight cargo fire;

*American Eagle Avions de Transport Regional (ATR) 72, October 1994, Roselawn, IN.;

*USAir Douglas DC-9, July 1994, Charlotte, NC; Pilot spatial disorientation and windshear;

*American International Airways Douglas DC-8, August 1993, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; First commercial accident attributed to flightcrew fatigue;

*Emery Worldwide Airlines Douglas DC-8-71, February 2000, Sacramento, California;

*American Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-83, June 1999, Little Rock, Arkansas;

*Korean Air Boeing 747-300, August 1997, Agana, Guam;Silkair Airlines Boeing 737-300, December 1997, Palembang, Sumatra;

*Swissair McDonnell Douglas MD-11, September 1998, Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia;

*Mr. Feith was also the U.S. Accredited Representative and Team Leader of six American investigators who climbed Mt. Illimani to an elevation of 21,223 feet MSL, to conduct the on-scene wreckage examination of Eastern Airlines Flight 980, a Boeing 727. This is the highest accident site in commercial aviation history.

JESSICA COXDisarm Your LimitsTHURSDAY, OCTOBER 201:00PM - 2:00PM

JESSICA COX has famously eliminated the words “I can’t” from her vocabulary. Although born without arms as the result of a birth defect, she has never allowed that to be a limiting factor. While she suffered from self-esteem issues early on and physical challenges throughout her life, Jessica managed to overcome and achieve — earning a college degree and a Taekwondo black belt, learning to drive a car with her feet, type with her toes, and in 2008 fly an airplane. That feat

landed her in the Guinness Book of World Records and led to an audience with the Pope, meetings with heads of state, and a great deal of media attention. Recently married, Jessica continues her journey. In the present, she has turned the tables on her so-called “disability”, allowing it to enable her as a motivational speaker and advocate in the USA and beyond. In the future there is no telling where her feet will take her.

CHUCK HOSMERPreparation - a Key to Safe Flying and Training

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 202:30PM - 3:15PM

Chuck joined ProFlight in 2013 which was acquired by Textron in 2014. He serves as the Part 135 Compliance Manager when not instructing on the CJ-3 or chasing down standardization issues for the different charter companies. His largely airline background culminated with three years as an international captain on the Boeing 777-300 for Air India after 31 years with American Airlines. Before joining ProFlight, Chuck trained international customers for Boeing on the Boeing 787 both in Seattle and Singapore. He participated in research for the nation’s next Supersonic Transport through simulator flight experiments at the NASA Langley Research Center in Virginia while on the east coast. He is pleased that the research efforts to replace cockpit windows with cameras has not been successful (thus far).

Chuck’s career includes test pilot for Bill Lear in the Lear 25 and Gulfstream in the G-550. He is a graduate in Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a former jet instructor in the Cessna T-37 twin jet after returning from Vietnam as a

forward air controller (FAC) in the Cessna O-2. He flew for Rocky Mountain Airways in the DHC-6 Twin Otter. His Type Ratings include Boeing 727, 757, 767, 777, 787, Airbus 310, DC-10, MD-80, CE-500, and CE-525.

ProFlight has been a leader in innovative training for more than 25 years. They have invested in advanced technology, taken interactive computer-based training into a new sphere, built a superb instructional team of high-time, active pilot professionals and demanded superior quality at every point. As a result, the company grew steadily and was acquired by Textron in 2014 as the only Cessna supported FAA Part 142 Training Center with a Level D Citation CJ-3 simulator built to the rigorous new FAR Part 60 Standards. ProFlight has recently opened their second training center near Tampa, Florida. The CJ-3 simulator there has been certified and a CJ-4 simulator is planned for the fourth quarter 2015. ProFlight has launched a strategy to make continuous currency the gold standard of pilot training.

WWII MUSEUM

! CONVENTION GUIDE! |! OCTOBER 19 - 23, 2016! ! ! ! ! ! ! 13

The War that Changed the World Why it was Fought, How it was Won, and What it Means Today

The National WWII Museum tells the story of the American Experience in the war that changed the world–why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means today–so that all generations will understand the price of freedom and be inspired.

The National WWII Museum in New Orleans opened on June 6, 2000, as The National D-Day Museum. Founded by historian and author, Stephen Ambrose, the Museum tells the story of the American Experience in the war that changed the world — why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means today — so that all generations will understand the price of freedom and be inspired by what they learn. In 2003, Congress officially designated us as America’s National WWII Museum. The National WWII Museum is an private 501c3 corporation.

Designated by Congress in 2003 as the America’s National WWII Museum, the campus includes the Louisiana Memorial Pavilion, showcasing the large artifacts of the war and exhibits on D-Day at Normandy, the Home Front and the Pacific; the Solomon Victory Theater, a 4D theater showing the exclusive Tom Hanks production, Beyond All Boundaries; the Stage Door Canteen, where the music and entertainment of the “Greatest Generation” comes to life; the John E. Kushner Restoration Pavilion, where staff and volunteers restore artifacts in public view; the American Sector restaurant and Soda Shop — delicious onsite dining options by Chef John Besh; and the new US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center, where exhibits and interactive experiences paint the picture of a nation mobilized for war.
