Conventions of a film magazine cover

The masthead telling us the name of the magazine. This magazine by Entertainment Weekly follows the convention of having the masthead at the top of the cover and matches the mood of the film featured.

The cover image present one of the main characters and also the genre of the film, and it stands out the most over the rest of the cover.

The buzz word this magazine has used is ‘exclusive’ to catch the eye of the consumer

This magazine shows the other articles that are not related to the film at the top of the cover

The banner, consisting with the conventions is underneath the title of the film
