Copper Range Campground is a 17-unit campground without electrical hookups located four-and-one-half miles north of State Highway 2 on County Highway H, then west on Park Road. This campground is popular with anglers in the spring and fall, and located conveniently near favorite fishing holes and canoe routes. At Copper Range Campground, you will find drinking water from a hand pump near campsite #41. The campground also has a wheelchair accessible site, restrooms, picnic tables, benches, fire grates, a canoe landing, and hiking opportunies nearby on the Historic Bayfield Road Hiking and Snowshoe Trail. It is free of charge and can be obtained from the Brule River State Forest Staon. • To have a permit applicaon mailed, please send your request to: Brule River State Forest 6250 South Ranger Road Brule, WI 54820 or call (715) 372-5678 • The most popular area for backpack camping is the North Country Trail which provides five backcountry campsites on the State Forest. Campground Rules• All campers must register at the office or by self-registration

when they arrive. Vehicle stickers are required for all vehicles.• Dead and downed wood can be used for firewood. Do not cut

any living trees or underbrush.• Trails may be used to access remote areas of the forest.

Camping within 100 feet of a trail is prohibited. A permitis required.

• No more than two vehicles may park at a site.

• No more than six people may occupy a site.• Closing and visiting hours on the campground is 11:00 p.m.• Checkout time is 3:00 p.m.• DO NOT leave garbage in the campsite. Refuse containers are

located across from campsite #45.• Fires are permitted in fire rings or charcoal grills in the

campsites. DO NOT leave fires unattended and extinguish allfires before leaving. Burning of household refuse is prohibited.

• Pets are allowed in the campsites but are required to be on aleash no longer than eight feet. Owners are responsible forcleaning up after their pets.
