with Acid Chlorides and Mechanistic Studies of the "Copper Effect" in Stille Cou-pling Reactions. — (2Z)-oxoesters (III) are prepared stereospecifically in good yields using CuI as the catalyst. 19F NMR allows the direct spectroscopic observation of the organocopper intermediate in Stille coupling reactions.
