WARM-UP : (5’) Game: What's my job? - Divide the class into 2 groups - Read 8 sentences that farmers, doctors, teachers ... often say. - Tell Ss to listen and guess the job. - The first group to speak out the name of a job gets one point. - The group with more points is the winner. Sentences teacher reads: Take two tablets a day after meal. You will have a test next week. Here's your key. Room 245. We have a bumper crop this year. Please fasten your seatbelt before the plane takes off. You've passed the red light. You have to pay a fine. It's rather cold inside Phong Nha Cave so you should bring warm clothes. What would you like to order? Activity 2: Discussion - Ask Ss to work in pairs to discuss which of the following jobs they would like or would not like to do and state the reasons for their choice. pilot/waiter/taxi driver /hotel receptionist air-hostess/ teacher/ farmer/ tour guide ... - Call on some Ss to report their ideas in front of the class. - 'Give feedback and comments.

Suggested ideas: - I would like to work as a tourist guide because I will be able to travel a lot when I take tourists on sightseeing tours throughout my country. I am keen on introducing the foreign tourists to all the scenic spots of my country. - My dream is to become an air-hostess because flying has always appealed to me greatly since I was a child. I will have a good chance of traveling abroad and communicating with people of different nationalities. - I am interested in being a hotel receptionist because tourism is booming in our country, more and more people are -willing to spend money on tours and travel. In addition, I like to meet different people from many parts of the world and I believe my English will improve considerably thanks to constant communication to them. - I will train to be a teacher because I want to follow my father's footsteps. I like to communicate knowledge and new ideas to people. Teaching is the most creative career, which helps train good citizens for the country and makes them the pillars of the nation.

- I don't like manual work because 1 think it is poorly- paid and energy-consuming. My health is not good and I don 't think 1 am fit enough for arduous work. - I have no idea what I am going to do but 1 think all work is honorable, so long as you have an honest job, you have no fear of money problems or poverty.

IV- POST SPEAKING : (10’)Personalization (Task 3, p. 67) - Put Ss to work in groups of four or five. - In groups, Ss talk about a job they may do after they finish high school, using the following cues as help: Where you work /Who you work with The salary you may get paid /The working conditions - Invite the groups' ideas. - Make comments on what Ss have.
