• Coral reefs are communities of living organisms.• About 25% of
marine life lives in the coral reefs.
• The ocean’s floor is covered in less than 0.1% of coral reefs.
• The coral reef’s ecosystem is the most diverse ecosystem in the world.

CORAL TYPES
• There are 2 types of coral:• Hard coral• Soft coral
• Hard coral has a limestone skeleton.• Soft coral doesn’t build
reefs.

• The water pollution is killing corals.
• Corals grow in warm, shallow, moving water, and clear, sunny areas.
• Coral grows near land in mostly tropical climates.
• The coral prefers the water to be between 70-85˚F.
• Coral reefs = Eastern coast on Africa and Southern coast Indian.
