1. Inspectthe¹/16inPEEKsil™tubingpiecestoensurethetubingiscleananddefect-free.PEEKsiltubingisprecisionpre-cutandshouldnotbecutagain.Ifadditionaltubingisneededorshorterlengthsaredesired,replace-menttubingisavailable.SeeOrderingInformationonpage5.
2. Itisrecommendedthatkitconnectionsbemadethroughyoursysteminthesamedirectionastheflow,i.e.,beginattheinjectorandcompleteyourconnectionsatthedetectorend.
3. Selecttheproperlengthoftubingfortheconnectionbetweentheinjectorandthecolumn,orbetweeninjectorandcolumnpre-heater,ifapre-heaterispresent.a200mmlengthisrecommendedforthisconnection.
4. InspecteachSure-Lok™PEEKmalenutfittingbeforeuse.
a.Note:–Beforere-useinspectandreplacethenutifthreadcompression and/orwearisobserved.
5. SlideoneSure-LokPEEKmalenutfittingontothetubingandinsertthetubingendwiththefittingintotheinjectorport.Seatthetubingallthewaydownintotheinjectorport.Thetubeshouldbecenteredandpushedintotheportuntilitbottomsout.
6. Whileholdingthetubinginplace,turn(screwclockwise)thePEEKmalenutfittingbyhandasfarasitwillgo.Seating(sealing)offittingsismadebytheincreasedfrictionfromcompression.asecureconnectionusuallytakesonlyabouta¼turnbeyondthepointwherethefittingferrulefirststartstograbthetubing.
IMPOrTaNT:Forapplicationsover3000psi(207bar),itisimperativethatthealumi-mumTighteningTool(aQ0-8530),includedinthiskit,beusedtopreventthetubingfromleakingorslipping.Tightenthenutabout¼to½turn,butdonotovertighten.
Note:Ifyouexperienceleaking,tightenanother¼turn.
7. SlideasecondPEEKmalenutfittingontothetubingandcompletethe connectiontoyourguardcolumn(seeFigure1),column,orpre-heater,repeatingthepositioningandtighteningsteps(5and6)above.

8. Ifacolumnpre-heaterispresentwithcompatiblefittings,usethe100mmofPEEKsiltubingandtwoPEEKmalenutfittingstomaketheconnectionsbe-tweenthepre-heaterandtheinletofyourguardcolumnorCore-Shellcolumn.
9. Lastly,usingthesecondpieceof200mmtubingandtwomorePEEKmale nutfittings,maketheconnectionbetweentheoutletofthecolumnandthe detector,inthesamemannerthattheconnectionbetweeninjectorandcolumnismade.

Quick Use Notes:Push/slidethenarrowendofthetoolallthewaydownontotheheadofthenut.Iftheconnectionisbeingmadetothecolumnside,useawrenchonthecolumnfittingtoholditfrommoving,whileusingthefittingtool toturnthenutclockwiseuntiltightened.Slidethetooloffthenuttocomplete theinstallation.
