CHRISTMAS CHILD
...SHARE THE LOVE
From children to seniors, you can pack a shoebox gift to bless children in need around the world. Year-round volunteers support these efforts across the country. The boxes are distributed to those that may not know Christ, to orphanages and to others in at-risk areas. Also included is a booklet “The Greatest Gift”. The Children’s Ministry at Cor-nerstone will be packing some of these shoeboxes.
You, too, can help by donating items to fill the boxes, or by donating cash to buy items and to cover postage ($9 per box). You can donate small toys (no war-related toys, please), personal care items (no toothpaste), clothing or accessories, craft items and school supplies (no liquids or candy). Our children will be collecting through November 5th. We will fill our boxes on Nov. 5th during service. Please mark OCC on the envelope if you make a cash donation. Questions? See Jenni Keltner.
We will have several opportunities to honor our fantastic
Pastors this month! We will celebrate Pastor Appreciation
Sunday on October 15th. Then, on Wednesday, October 18th,
we will have a Dessert Fellowship at 7:00 PM at the Jewel.
Please bring a favorite dessert to share! We invite everyone
to please take a moment, maybe pen a note or send a card,
and express your gratitude and thankfulness to all the
“Shepherds” of our flock. We thank God for them! And,
please, continue to cover them in prayer ALWAYS!

CORNERSTONE LIVE FULLY WOMEN’S MINISTRY IS PLEASED TO
ANNOUNCE THE RETURN OF...
The Christmas Store will be held on Saturday, December 2, from 9:00 -
Noon. This is a Community Outreach for children to buy gifts for their
family at a nominal price. WE NEED YOU! First, we need your stuff! We
are collecting things for Children, Men and Women, plastic grocery bags,
gift wrap bags and gift wrap. Search your house and find those things you
will donate! Suzzie Nickle will store your items if you do not have room.
Secondly, we need your help. This event only works because of
volunteers like you! Watch the November Bulletin for your opportunity to
sign up for Greeting, Wrapping, Shopper Escort Elves, and more.

Children’s and Youth News

Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children.
Includes: dinner, dessert, ‘don’t wanna miss’ entertainment and 1 Bingo Card.
You Can Host a Table at Billy Bob’s Black Tie Banjo Bingo at the Big Building! Here’s how:
1st… Sign up in the foyer on Sunday for a table (or two!)
2nd
… Choose a theme. Use your imagination!
3rd
… Collect your supplies for your table:
Tablecloth, Plates, Cups, Silverware, Napkins, Centerpiece
4th… Fill your table! Invite family and friends. (No worries if you can’t fill the table; we will seat others
at your table.)
Last year’s “decorators/ hosts” had a blast setting their tables! Join in this year!
CFW is once again participating in the Tonganoxie
Spooktacular Event on Friday, October 27th . We will
have “Trunk or Treat” style booths set up in the
Jewel. Guess what? You, yes, you can set up a
booth! Pick a theme, then come to the Jewel anytime
from 9-5 on Friday the 27th to set up! Booths must be
up and ready to go at 5:30 PM. If you would like to
host a booth, please sign up in the foyer.
CHURCH FAMILY: We also are asking for candy
donations from the congregation. We will see some
2000 children at this event. That’s a lot of candy! We
will have a container in the foyer on Sundays for your
donations. If you would rather make a cash donation
and let us do the shopping, please mark your
envelope ‘SPOOKTACULAR’.
THE
BIG,
BIG STORY
It is time to start practicing for our Christmas
Program! All kids, K- 9th grade, can join us starting
Sunday, October 1st , for practice. We will start
meeting at the Jewel until our new building is finished.
Practice will be every Sunday from 12:30 - 2:30 PM.
Lunch will be provided by families in the church.
Parents, you don’t have to worry about feeding them
before they get here! This is going to be BIG! See
you on October 1st
