Travelling from the west of Cornwall:

Take the A30 to Chiverton Cross roundabout and con�nue on A30 eastbound un�l you

reach the B3284. Turn right here for Truro. Con�nue through Shortlanesend towards

Truro. Pass the War Memorial on your le' and con�nue downhill. Turn le' into Higher

Trehaverne. Pass the school on your right and pass Chainwalk Drive on your le'. Take the

next le' and con�nue through the gate into the grounds of Epiphany House.

Travelling from the east of Cornwall:

Take the A30 westbound un�l you reach the B3284. Turn le' here for Truro. Con�nue

through Shortlanesend towards Truro. Pass the War Memorial on your le' and con�nue

downhill. Turn le' into Higher Trehaverne. Pass the school on your right and pass

SINGING BREAK

A residen�al (and non-residen�al) church music singing course held in

the beau�ful surroundings of Epiphany house, arranged in associa�on

with the Royal School of Church Music and directed by Nigel Groome.

An opportunity to explore a wealth of church music. Rehearsal and ser-

vices will be held in the Epiphany House Chapel, Kenwyn church and Tru-

ro Cathedral.

The course runs from 4pm on Friday 1 March

to

4pm Sunday 3 March 2013

Comfortable accommoda�on, sumptuous food and fabulous music and

of course ………. Cornwall.

Nigel Groome is Organist and Director of Music at Beckenham Parish

Church and the Regional Music Advisor for the Royal School of Music in

the South and South West.

Nigel regularly conducts choir fes�vals and workshops in this country,

the USA and for the Diocese of Europe. Under his direc�on the choir of

Beckenham Parish Church has visited the USA twice, Estonia twice, Latvia

and Belgium. The choir regularly broadcasts for the BBC.

Nigel has recently become an associate of the Royal School of Church

Music and a fellow of the Guild of Church Musicians.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Cornwall Singing Break for any-

one who enjoys choral singing. We will rehearse and sing services in

Epiphany House’s Chapel, Kenwyn Church and Truro Cathedral. The week-

end is directed by Nigel Groome, the Regional Music Advisor for the Royal

School of Church Music.

You are welcome to arrive a'er 2pm on the Friday.

The retreat is residen�al and all meals, bed-linen and towels are

provided. We have a mixture of mainly single rooms with a couple of twin

and double rooms. Rooms have wash-hand basins and are close to

bathroom facili�es. Hot water bo>les and hairdryers are available! Tea

and coffee making facili�es are available at all �mes.

Please also indicate on the booking form if you have any special

dietary requirements. Epiphany House is an historic, comfortable and

peaceful house set in lovely gardens within easy access of the city centre

and railway sta�on.

The cost is £145 for residen�al guests.

If you wish to join the singing break as a non-resident the cost is £85.

Please send a non-refundable deposit of £15 with a completed form to

book indica�ng whether you would like a resident or non-resident place.

Cheques made payable to “The Epiphany Trust (Truro) Ltd”. The balance

(cash or cheque) will be due on your arrival for the retreat.
