Why this subject?
20 States still allow Corporal Punishment to be used in public schools.
Corporal Punishment is meted out to boys and girls both.
Over 223,000 students were punished in the year 2008.That’s only 1,200 students a day.
There are over 11 million students in the 100 largest school districts in the nation.
Only states with large minority populations use it.
States that employ it are run by backward thinking people.
States with right-wing agendas use corporal punishment to control the young population.

Corporal punishment is psychologically damaging

Corporal Punishment has been proven to instill discipline in students.
Corporal Punishment does deter wrong doing.
We need to instill respect for our elders, teachers and those in authority in our youth.
Conclusion
Corporal Punishment can be psychologically damaging.But not due to the delivered spanking, but due
to how children treat the student who was disciplined.
Corporal Punishment may not be the answer we’re looking for, but it has worked in the past.
