The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a program for individuals who are receiving food stamps and seeking employment. Servicesareprovidedthroughthefollowingcomponents:
Workforce Investment Opportunity Act (WIOA)Activities are funded through the Workforce Investment Opportunity Act (WIOA) and provided assessment, job training and job placement assistance. Services are broken downintothreecategories:CoreServices,IntensiveServicesandTrainingServices.These activities will help jobseekers identify types of work for which you are best suited.
Job Search requiresanE&Tparticipanttomakeaspecifiednumberofjobcontactswithdifferentprospectiveemployersoveraperiodoftimenottoexceed60calendardays.This service will help jobseekers identify all available jobs open for application.
Vocational Training enables jobseekers to acquire the necessary knowledge and skillstocompeteinaspecificoccupation,andallowsparticipantstomovedirectlyintoemployment.

• Required to register for work
• Must be at least 18 years of age, but under age 50
• Have no dependents
INDIVIDUALS WHO DO NOT HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SNAP
E&T PROGRAM:
• Are under age 18, or older than 50
• Areastudent,enrolledatleasthalf-time
• Are receiving unemployment insurance payments
• Are responsible for the care of an incapacitated person
• Are pregnant or physically or mentally unable to work
• Have a dependent child under age 18
• Are employed and working at least 20 hours per week
