McDonald’s Australia is seeking a Corporate Communications Manager to join its dynamic communications department on a 12 month contract commencing 13 April. An integral part of a small team, the role encompasses media relations, social media, issues management, stakeholder relations and internal communications. You will work collaboratively with multiple internal stakeholders including Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Development, HR, Legal, our franchisees and more than 900 restaurants nationally. Working closely with our agency partners, you will drive communications programs that build McDonald’s reputation and promote values of transparency, innovation and integrity. As a key point of contact for media and external stakeholders, you will proactively manage issues to protect and enhance the McDonald’s brand. Responsibilities: Development and execution of strategic communications programs to support company business objectives (i.e. marketing launches, sustainability innovations, employee initiatives) and the programs of Ronald McDonald House Charities such as McHappy Day Media management including the development of messaging and media materials, briefing of spokespeople, media liaison, media monitoring and reporting Amplification of sponsorships and partnerships Management of multiple agencies to ensure brand alignment, synergy and high performance Support executive team with internal and external communications materials Issues management and crisis communications To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and qualifications: A degree in communications or other relevant field Five to seven years communications experience, either in an agency or corporate setting Superior written and verbal communication skills Strong understanding of the Australian media and online landscapes Well-organised, demonstrated project management and multi-tasking skills Enjoys a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment Experience interacting with senior management Able to work independently with little supervision Works well with various teams and functional disciplines Embraces change and is motivated by challenges Please forward all cover letters, resumes and confidential enquiries to: [email protected] APPLICATIONS CLOSE COB 20 MARCH 2015
