WORLD’S BESTAre you unsure of what to study after SPM? Be inspired at UCSI.

UCSI students are annually selected for high impact research programmes by the world’s best universities. These arrangements last for months up to an entire year, providing students with opportunities to work

alongside renowned academics, advance knowledge and expand their network.

HARVARD UNIVERSITY Five of UCSI’s best medical students have been selected to advance science at Harvard on year-long research programmes since 2014.

Three students have since returned and their works have been published in high-impact medical journals. At Harvard, UCSI students work under the tutelage of Professor Dr Gordon Williams, a renowned endocrinologist.

The recent addition of two new high-rise academic complexes at UCSI’s Kuala Lumpur increases its operational capacity by more than 1million ft2 of state-of-the-art learning space. Popular with students and parents, its designs embody the zeitgeist of 21st century dynamism and interconnectivity. Housing science labs, interactive learning spaces, lecture theatres, recital halls, commercial areas, classrooms, hostels, sports facilities and a multi-level parking facility, the new complexes will change the way how students perceive and experience education.

Job done? Not a chance. UCSI’s recent campus expansion is merely a microcosm of a far grander plan. More development will be undertaken to transform the Kuala

Lumpur campus into a prominent education city that defines the Cheras skyline. UCSI Hospital is also on the verge of completion. Built in support of the National Transformation Programme, this private teaching hospital is purposed to turn Springhill into a vibrant hub of healthcare, education and medical tourism. EMPLOYABILITY MATTERS

PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION

UCSI runs what is virtually Malaysia’s largest university-industry network through its Co-Operative Placement (Co-Op) programme. This initiative sees UCSI working together with around 4,000 global companies to provide each student with at least two months of internship each year. This network includes many of the world’s best companies like Accenture, CIMB, Citibank, Deloitte, DHL, Ernst & Young, Hewlett-Packard,

HSBC, KPMG, Maybank, Nestle, Samsung, Schlumberger, Standard Chartered, Ogilvy, P&G, Petronas and PWC, among many others.

Through Co-Op, UCSI students gain invaluable industry exposure through structured internship programmes each academic year.

UCSI is recognised by many professional bodies. This sees UCSI students benefiting from professional paper exemptions and assured pathways to future-proof careers. As one of Malaysia’s leading universities, UCSI also benefits from international agreements like the Washington Accord. Under the accord, UCSI’s engineering programmes are recognised internationally and graduates can work in countries like Australia, Britain, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and the United States, among others.

The following are some of the professional bodies that recognise UCSI. The University is also a member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the Institute of Marketing Malaysia (IMM).
