Epicurean was founded in 2004 by a custom skate park manufacturer as a way to repurpose

excess skate material generated during manufacturing. Today, Epicurean sets the standard for

the well-equipped kitchen with premier cutting boards and essential utensils—all made in the

USA using environmentally responsible business practices.

A HISTORY OF ECO-FRIENDLY INNOVATION As a skate park manufacturer, we used wood composite that was extremely durable and

nonporous. It also happened to be rated by the National Sanitation Foundation as safe for

food cutting and dishwashers. We started using excess material to create cutting boards as

gifts for family and friends and, as demand soared, began producing and marketing a variety

of kitchen tools from this wood composite.
