Corporate Profile 2017
A message from our top management
To help our customers create values in their businesses
Since our establishment in 1962 as a joint venture between Fuji Photo Film (then) and Rank Xerox (then), Fuji Xerox has followed our basic philosophy of helping customers and society foster mutual understanding through better communications. We revolutionized office work with Xerography; the technology that allows duplicating information on paper. We have not only established an innovative business model focusing on a rental service—providing utility— rather than providing devices, but also offered a wide range of products and services to support customers in communications and creating values.
With recent diversification and globalization taking place in businesses and ever growing competition, improvement in work processes is required for faster decision-making. Times have changed in terms of doing business; companies are now collaborating with each other globally to move a project forward rather than handling everything themselves. It is becoming increasingly crucial to distribute and share information rapidly and accurately to develop an environment that allows creation of new knowledge. Communication not only supports businesses but also decides the changes they make.
As the rapid evolution of Information and Communication Technology and Internet of Things networks the world and diversifies media, the amount and types of distributed information have become ever larger. With our technologies and expertise that we have cultivated over the years in communications overall, Fuji Xerox provides the best means of converting necessary information into optimal formats as well as expediting its distribution and sharing. Our goal is to help customers resolve issues in every phase of their work and expanding their businesses, which includes optimizing overall work flow and strengthening their relationships with their own customers. Moreover, we will not only provide solutions to individual companies but also offer a new communications environment with a wider scope to local governments and communities.
Under a new management team that started in June 2017, we have been reforming our corporate structure with strengthened governance anchored by an open, fair and clear corporate culture as stated in the Fujifilm Group Vision. By propelling our business transformation through globally accelerating our solutions and services businesses, Fuji Xerox, as a member of Fujifilm Group, strives to contribute in solving customers’ and social issues through the creation of new values in the field of the Document Services and Communications.
