TUNNELLING AND DRILLING

Patriot works on tunnelling projects ranging from utility pipelines to rail and car tunnels. We have support services for all tunnel processes, such as; slurry shield, earth pressure balance and open-shield methods. We have a wide range of capabilities of benefit to drilling clients, including support for:

Our vacuum tankers remove all tun-nel slurries, drill muds, bentonites and other drilling by-products. High pressure water blasting is an efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly part of any industrial plant or industrial equipment cleaning system. Applications include cold cutting of steelwork, concrete demolition in no-fire zones, scale, paint / rust removal, surface preparation and cleaning, pipe / tank cleaning, pathways and road cleaning.

Patriot utilises only the best high-pressure water cleaners and cleaning attachments, including tank cleaning heads, floor cleaners, spinning nozzles, automatic internal and external exchanger tube bundle cleaners and rotary multi-jet head pipe cleaning attachments.

Non Destructive Digging (NDD) is fast becoming the preferred method of excavation for many in the Construction Industry. By safely breaking up soil through the use of air or water, the risk of damage to utilities is vastly reduced, when compared to manual or mechanical digging methods. This enables safe, fast, precise excavation that requires less backfill, labour and restoration.

Patriot offers a wide range of state-of-the-art NDD units for vacuum excavation. Depending on the application our units range from:

n 4,000L to 20,000L units. Small rigids fitted with 4” hoses for intricate work, through to high-powered semi trailers for bulk excavation work, fitted with 8” hoses.

n Both wet and dry vacuum systemsn 2,000psi to 5,000psi water blasting units. We also offer up to 40,000psi HP units for

hard rock areas and bulk excavation

We also offer units that use either air or water to excavate - airvac is ideal for remote areas where water is scarce and we can leave the excavated material on-site for backfill.

Patriot Environmental have formed a strategic partnership with Utility Mapping Pty Ltd, who are experts and experienced at applying geophysical techniques and technology to capture, interpret and present subsurface information through high-quality GIS products and reporting tools.

Using an array of geophysical equipment and techniques, we offer the subsurface information your design teams need to enable a realistic and viable design to be established before construction. Our Utility Surveys include Pipes, Cables, Cellars, Underground Storage Tanks (UST’s) and Buried Structures. Our field surveyors accurately position all underground utilities, anomalies and structures located, allowing for easy integration onto topographical survey data. We include all relative information such as; depths, utility type, size, material, direction of flow and configuration (when multiple conduits are present) with our deliverables.

The revolutionary Recycler Combination Units keep inline with our innovative traditions. Traditional combo units cannot compare to our high quality, German equipment. The Recycler Combination Unit offers water jetting and vacuum recovery for drain, sewer, culvert and industrial cleaning, but also are capable of recycling its own waste to create its own water supply source.

These units are able to remove a range of materials and waste debris from sewers and drains, including oily waste, dirty ballast, sludge, sewage, tree roots, debris, sediment, grease, silt and sludge.

We compliment this service with offering CCTV units for pipe and culvert inspections, evaluations and reporting. The use of CCTV enables us to monitor the condition of sewer and stormwater pipes for blockages and deterioration. This helps us plan cleaning schedules and future maintenance works and limits the amount of unplanned downtime on-site.
