It is owned and managed by Three Directors with the help of very qualified staff in different fields.

Thus, Corporate Smarts & Insights Africa Ltd was formed with sole objective to provide Quality

CORPORATE SMARTS & INSIGHTS AFRICA LTD was incorporated in the Republic of Kenya on

the 15th

day of July 2011 with abroad objective of helping millions of individuals, businesses, organizations

in Africa to manage and solve their personal and organizational challenges.

Against a challenging background, Africa contributes only three (3) percent of the world economy. Of the

three (3) percent, South Africa contributes 60% (remember out of the 3%) and the rest to be shared by

more than 45 African nations. This literary means, with a contribution of 3% the rest of the World would

literary do without Africa.

paradigm shift in the way Organizations are managed and run in Africa by embracing Management

Corporate Smarts is involved in Management Consultancy Services mostly Human Resource recruitment,

general Management related consultancy services. It has 15 permanent staff and a further 70 on call and

contractual basis.

institutions and private businesses. Our firm is located in Nakuru Town along Government/Tom Mboya

Road– Chege House, 1ST Floor, and Suite 111.

The brain child and founder of CSIAL, Devarest holds a Bachelor of Communication and Public Relations

(HRM) Degree from Moi University (Kenya), Masters of Business Administration (Financial Management)

from Widener University (USA) and is a Certified Public Accountant – Kenya & USA. He has Higher

Diploma Certificate in Insurance from The College of Insurance –Kenya; He is also a fellow of the Life

Office Management Institute and board member Col lege of Insurance Alumni .

He has attended several executive development programmes and seminars both locally and offshore.

He currently serves on various Boards of Institutions in East Africa, which fuels his passion for developing

the next generation of young leaders geared towards realization of Kenyan vision 2030 and the entire regions

3.2 OUR APPROACH AND WHY WE ARE DIFFERENT

It is our policy and practice to provide exceptionally high value project results, rapidly, while utilizing best

consulting methods that easen projects minimize consulting expense or elongate project time frames. We do

not crowd our clients with multiple consultants because you deserve to have consulting support from

individuals who are broadly experienced business people, rather than many consultants who cover for each

other's inexperience or inability.

Our business is structured for efficiency, responsiveness and positive client results. We respond to client

requests rapidly and always on the same day, no matter where we are or what is required of us to respond.

Each individual in our firm is measured and paid on a project basis rather than on their "billable hours" or

revenue generation. As a result we do not practice the common consulting techniques of adding profit

margins to project expenses, assigning several consultants to do what one consultant should be able and

expected to do, charging for travel time or for any form of communication, or billing a "minimum" amount

for anything. Nearly all of our business operations costs, for instance, are booked through a business

consolidator, which saves our clients 25 to 55 percent on our Consultancy expenses when compared with

other consulting firms. Said another way, “if it will not affect your bottom line positively and traceably, we

will not do it”.

Organizations are defined by how purposefully and fittingly they change. Because "change" is more peaceful

and more successful when it comes from within an organization, our consultant will work with your staff to

create only necessary change, from within your organization. Because we do not employ proposal writers,

the Leadership Strategies consultant who proposes your project will have actually written your proposal. He

or she will also be the consultant who performs the project, with very limited exceptions. This approach to

our engagements causes solutions to occur more quickly, at lower cost, and with longer lasting results.

We develop and implement non-radical solutions to your biggest people and operating challenges only after

thoroughly understanding your needs and determining whether we have the skill to solve them. If we do not,

we will quickly find someone who can. We generally work on a retained or project basis and our success

come exclusively from giving you and your company solutions to your most pressing people and financial

challenges…quickly. Period.

6.0 OUR FEES

Nearly all of our work is covered under either a fixed project fee or on a retained services basis. Our fees

which are inclusive of all charges are clearly outlined in our detailed proposal to the clients, enabling them to

know exactly what they will be charged in advance. Nearly 80% of our project engagements are undertaken

by either one or two of our exceptionally skilled consultants. We do not assign excess consultants to a

client‟s challenges and we do not charge an organization extra for what one consultant should know and be

skilled enough to do. 97% of our consulting projects are completed on time or ahead of schedule.

In other words, we deliver and exceed on our clients‟ expectations while giving them maximum returns and

value for their investments.

Much of our local and international assignments, for instance, are consolidated, which usually saves our

clients between 25 and 55 percent on business expenses when compared with other consulting firms. Many

of our clients now prefer us over our competitors for our use of the consolidated, customized products and

services. No extra consultants, no extra expenses, no endless projects and no unplanned costs are the means

by which we manage our projects and our relationships with our clients, creating much greater value for our

clients and a much more positive reaction to the term “consultant”.
