“CHRIST IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED!”

This ancient greeting sums up what we celebrate this Easter Sunday, the joy of Christ risen and alive in our midst.

We have journeyed these forty days of Lent and now come to celebrate the most important event of our faith: Jesus' resurrection. We do this in a spirit of thanksgiving to God who gives His own Son to die in order to res-cue us from the slavery of sin. May we live as people deeply touched by the resurrection and proclaim: Christ is risen, Alleluia! May our en-counter with the risen Lord on our journey of faith touch us deeply and transform us as He did for His Disci-ples. May the resurrection lead us to be the best version of ourselves; committed to live out our Baptismal cov-enant. Only when we live the new life of the resurrection we become the best version of ourselves. I extend a word of appreciation to all who made donations of, or offerings toward our Easter flowers and plants, to all those involved in our Triduum Liturgies, as well as those who decorated our church. Thanks to all who sacrificed to make our Holy Week as prayerful, enjoyable, and inviting as it has been. My prayer for you this Easter is that you live as people deeply touched by the resurrection and proclaim: Christ is risen, He is risen indeed! ¡CRISTO HA RESUCITADO! ¡VERDADERAMENTE HA RESUCITADO!

Este antiguo saludo sintetiza lo que celebramos en este Domingo de Pascua, la alegría de Cristo resucitado and vivo en medio de nosotros. Hemos peregrinado en estos días de cuaresma y ahora venimos a celebrar el evento más importante de nuestra fe: La Resurrección del Señor. Lo hacemos en espíritu de gratitud a Dios que nos ha dado a su propio Hijo pa-ra morir y rescatarnos de la esclavitud del pecado. Que vivamos como gente profundamente marcada por la resurrección y proclamemos: Cristo ha resucitado, Aleluya! Que nuestro encuentro con el Señor resucitado en nuestra jornada de fe nos toque profundamente y nos transforme como Cristo hizo con sus discípulos. Que la resurrección nos lleve a ser a mejor versión de nosotros mismos; comprometidos a vivir nuestra alianza bautismal. Sólo cuando vivimos la nueva vida de la resurrección nos convertimos en la mejor versión de nosotros mismos. Extiendo una palabra de agradecimiento a todos los que dieron donacio-nes u ofrendas para nuestras flores y decoración de pascua, a todos los que participaron en las liturgias del Triduo Pascual, así como a los que decoraron la iglesia. Gracias a todos los que se sacrificaron para hacer que nuestra Semana Santa fuera orante, agradable y acogedora como ha sido. Mi oración por ustedes en esta Pascua es que vivan como personas pro-fundamente tocadas por la resurrección y proclamen: ¡ Cristo ha resuci-tado… Verdaderamente ha resucitado!
