Retired Priests’ Pension Fund Collection

Retired priests of the Diocese of London receive a

monthly pension from the St. John the Evangelist

Priest Pension Fund Society. Similar to the challenges

that face most pension funds, there are a greater num-

ber of retired priests today who are living longer lives

than was anticipated just a few decades ago. As the

number of retired priest’s increases, the pension fund

needs to grow to meet future needs. The Priests’ Pen-

sion Collection allows each of us to show our gratitude

and support for priests who have faithfully served our

parishes and cared for us and our spiritual needs.

Prayerfully reflect this week on how you can best re-

spond in support of the needs of our retired priests.

Use the special collection envelope for the Priest Pen-

sion Fund Collection. Please return it in the offertory

collection June 16th/17th or drop it off at the parish

office.

Our priests give us a life time of service. On Father’s

Day Weekend, let’s give back —

Rite of Christian Initiation of

Adults The RCIA will begin again in Septem-

ber, 2018. If there is anyone in your

life, family or circle who would be interested becoming

Catholic— call the office. If there is anyone who would

like to journey along and grow in their faith joining the

RCIA team— call the office.
