Corrosion is the general phenomenon for

    all types of wagons.

    FACTORS RELATED TO

CORROSION :-1. Types of commodities loaded

    2. Pattern of loading

    3. Running through coastal areas

    4. Contamination of rain water with the

Chemical substance.5. Staging of rain water.

    6. Overlapping of panel plates.

    7. Improper painting without surface prep.

    REASONS FOR CORROSION

1.END PANELS AND STANCHIONS DUE TO

BAD LOADING OF MATERIAL AND LOOSE

    SHUNTING.2. DEPOSITION OF RAIN WATER

    CONTAMINATED WITH CHEMICAL

    PROPERTIES OF MATERIAL LOADED.

    3. STAGING OF RAIN WATER ON THE FLOOR.4. FLOWING OF DEPOSITED WATER FROM

FLOOR TO THE SOLEBAR NEAR DOOR WAY.

    5. DOOR HINGES IN CONTACT WITH MOISTURE

    Corrosion causes

Due to flowing of rain water

    From floors near door way.

    2. Door hinges get corroded

In contact with flowing rain water

    From floor.
