…I would like to thank everyone for their continued support and look forward to everyone having a happy holiday season! This year brought us many changes and challenges . . . some good, others not so much…but nonetheless, eventful. I am excited about the upcoming new positive energy on the board as our elections are close at hand and look forward to continuing our mission as we share ideas and work on ‘growing’ our organizations and helping each other in the coming year. COSA is like a family, growing bigger and stronger day by day. In this coming year, COSA’s board will continue to open its arms to welcome new members to join the family and nurture long time members along the way. I encourage everyone to take an active role in the coming year, with cutbacks in many organizations the continued support we offer each other is priceless. Let’s remember to show our support throughout the season, unwrapped gifts can be brought to our meetings and donated to member organizations, I know [prior] presenter Home Instead Senior Care is looking for gifts for our loved-ones over the age of 60, Mustard Seed always has its arms open to those wanting to help… and many other agencies welcome donations for children and adolescents who are in need of a delivery from Santa… Pamela A. There is a small unit for 5 beds for under 70 IQ. Some clients are court ordered. It is a locked facility. Average stay is 3-6 months. Payments accepted are Private pay, Insurance. Inpatient psychiatric program and. Dept. of Families will also help finance. Amenities are pool, rope course, gym, therapy, play area and education by Martin County school teachers, There is individual, family and group counseling weekly. Will do home studies, sponsors and fully bilingual program. Families living far may call in for therapy or they will provide gas cards. They will pick up and drop off at train stations. Skype is also being added for families to see their children when live far. .Accept clients from all over the country. There is a refugee program for illegal’s. DJJ is sending more to them regularly. Will help get immigration status legal citizenships. Beginning to get Haitian children and are starting a program for them. There is approval of 42 beds.
