In this mural job I wanted the trompe l’oeil effect of the sky and the clouds I painted appear real as if someone is looking at a so-larium when the person is looking at the ceiling. In the faux finish I achieved an organic and contemporary special finish with the sepia and sienna brown earth tones that I got inspired by the Walnut Roman and Tuscan Travertine stone. I put some accents of gold leaf veins and golden nuggets in the faux finish.The brown earth tones and gold accents of the faux finish marry well the furniture and decor of the house that echo the same colors. The clients are very pleased and satisified with the job.
