Costume Choice

The Band

Lead Singer

As shown on the image above the lead singer o the ban din my video is wearing

a dark T-shirt and dark coloured jeans and I placed her in these colours because

I thought that it would go well with the rebellious tone and rock genre of the

song. On her t-shirt it says ‘Extra’ repeatedly and it also refers to the fashion

world and I thought the lead singer wearing this t-shirt would be a good element

for the video because it relates to the song and the fact it says’ don’t try to make

me your reflection’ which this t-shirt is stating.

The Drummer

As shown in the image above the drummer in my video is wearing a dark t-shirt

with the ‘Vans’ logo printed on it which I thought would be a good thing for him

to wear in my video because it is a brand that my target audience will be

familiar with and it being a dark coloured t-shirt means it goes with the other

costumes worn by the other members of the band. He is also wearing green

quarter-length shorts which aren’t seen much in the video because he is

behind the drum kit and I thought that wearing these would also go with his t-

shirt. The drummer also has a tattoo on his arm which is shown as a Kio I

thought that having this shown in the video would also add to the rebellious

teenager’ tone of the video.

The Guitarist

The guitarist in my video is wearing a dull brown coloured t-shirt and cropped

jeans and I thought that this costume choice was good to have in my video

because the t-shirt colour goes well with the guitar and the cropped jeans are

currently in popular fashion. The print that is shown on his t-shirt says ‘Light in

the cloud’ and I thought that this was good to include because it relates to the

message in my song and my video which is again to rise up against the

negative.

Actors/ActressesIn the first section of my video who see the main girl wearing light colours

such as the pink t-shirt and she is also wearing ‘girly’ clothing like the skirt

which represents her vulnerability in the video and that she is a simple and

nice girl.

However in the second section of my video she changes into darker clothing

like the black t-shirt and the jeans which was done to show her change in

mood and that she has turned angry and with this, projecting a rebellious

teenage image.

Also throughout the video the main character is wearing a turquoise

necklace and turquoise as a stone represents strength and well being which

thought relates to her character and would be a good element to have in the

video.
