Costumes/Props

Ed (Hooded character 1)

We have chosen for Ed to wear a black balaclava, so as to hide his identity, and create mystery and suspense.

We have chosen for Ed to wear a black suit jacket, what this will do is keep him in theme with the other bad characters, but it will show to the audience that he is the leader, and so, powerful one.

We have chosen for Ed to wear black trousers, what this will do is keeping him in theme with the other bad characters, but it will show to the audience that he is the leader, as it will help show him as the smart one.

Once again the black theme is carried on with the shoes being worn, but they also help show him as smart and hence, the leader of the group.

This will be the phone that we use in the opening sequence.

Ben (Hooded character 2)

We have chosen for Ben to wear a black balaclava, so as to hide his identity, and create mystery and suspense.

Ben will wear a black leather jacket, and this will show that as well as being secretive and mysterious (connotations of the colour black), that he is also very practical in his work, unlike Ed.

By wearing black jeans, this shows that Ben does not care so much about his appearance, and is more practical and hands on than Ed.

With Ben wearing black trainers, it still shows his mysterious, and also shows that he does what Ed tells him to, as his shoes are more practical for physical duties.

By Ben carrying a baseball bat, this shows that he is a very dangerous man, as Knives are often associated with extreme violence amongst criminals.

Tom (Hooded character 3)

We have chosen for Tom to wear a black buff, so as to hide his identity, and create mystery and suspense, but also separate him from his ‘friends’.

Like Ben this jacket is designed to create mystery, but also connotes the practicality of tom and what he does.

By wearing black jeans, this shows that Tomes not care so much about his appearance, and is more practical and hands on than Ed.

With Ben wearing black trainers, it still shows his mysterious, and also shows that he does what Ed tells him to, as his shoes are more practical for physical duties.

By Tom carrying a baseball bat, this shows that he is a very dangerous man, as baseball bats are often associated with extreme violence amongst criminals.

Alex (Alex)

By using the colour green with this jacket, it shows Alex to be a fairly passive person.

Green is also used for Alex’s trousers to show his passive and un-violent behaviour.

The shoes that he wears are just a pair of normal shoes, but they have orange soles, which could connote his aggressive side. But when Alex takes them off in his home, this could show his increased vulnerability.

This could also apply to Alex’s bag as it could connote his aggressive side, and when he takes it off it could show his increased vulnerability.
