Church on the Corner Weekend Away 2018 Out of the busyness and the noise God calls each of us to take time to meet with with him and find refreshment for our souls. But often we don’t know where to begin. Our Church weekend away will be a gentle introduction to retreat. We will think about prayer, silence, sacred places and pilgrimage. We will do this in the majestic setting of one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the country, and will be staying at Sarum College in Cathedral close. The COTC weekend away is always a not to be missed event in the life of church. There is no better way to get to know people and to deepen your relationship with others and with God. There will be a gentle programme of teaching, prayer, worship, walks and fun. We’ve tried to keep costs as low as possible, and its should be ~£50 per night B&B, plus a little more for lunch and dinner. We want this to be accessible to everyone - please don’t let money to be an obstacle. Talk to one of the organisers if you have questions. We are now taking bookings. There is a sign up sheet at back of church or email Martin to book your place - [email protected] We will be exploring the theme and practice of retreat. Sessions will be a blend of teaching, practical and discussion, and we will join in with worship at Salisbury Cathedral. Arrive when you can. If you can get away early on Friday, all the better. We’d really encourage everyone to be there for the whole weekend, but there is flexibility if you can only come for one night, or the day on Saturday. Below is a provisional program to give you a feel for the weekend, and so you can plan your travel. Please be praying for this weekend that we might learn more of the relationship that our Heavenly Father calls each of us to. The organising team. Mark, Georgie, Susanna, John. Church on the Corner Weekend Away 2018

Out of the busyness and the noise God calls each of us to take time to meet with with him and find refreshment for our souls.

There is a sign up sheet at back of church or email Martin to book your place - [email protected]

We will be exploring the theme and practice of retreat.
