This revision is essential insofar as the Ruth And Robert Work Park Fund has been dissolved and is no longer to be included as a function of the Council. Dania announced that the Ad Hoc Committee met on June 9, 1999 and determined the amounts that were to be distributed to each of the contributing clubs with the proportional share of that contributed by the disbanded Village Garden Club going to the Council. EDUCATIONAL FOCUS COMMITTEE: LOUISE SULLIVAN

Lorraine Briggs reported for Louise thatThe Educational Focus Committee will sponser a program by Judy Schaffernak in November - see announcements.

BARRINGTON AREA BEAUTIFICATION - PAT VANDE LOGT

Pat announced that the committee would be making its final decisions on awards on Monday, September 13. She discussed the possibility of including the garden at the Library and it was suggested that this would be something to include in the future but would not be appropriate at this time since other public gardens had not been consider-ed this year. Announcement of the awards will be made at the Chamber's November meeting.

CONSERVATION: SAM OLIVER

Sam commended those who helped to rescue yellow star grass on short notice; she also noted the change in the children's summer session to a week long program. Also that the Nature Lady Program, under the auspices of the Garden Club of Barrington and the Little Garden Club of Barrington, is using the Grigsby Prairie and that Vickie Klein has supplied name stakes for the various flora in the prairie.

The most often asked questions of CFC pertain to erosion and Sam passed out a publication "Lake Notes" with pertinent information regarding this problem.

Sam also explained the new Barrington Community Foundation. This Foundation will be set up to fund unmet needs in the community. They hope to raise $100,000 as an endowment with the interest to be used for this purpose. On September 23, 1999 a meeting will be held to discuss these needs and Sam has been asked to address environmental issues. She asked for the council's suggestions and input. Three areas were suggested immediately: 1. Area south of Lake-Cook Road at intersection of New Hart Road 2. Lake Zurich Road entrance to Barrington - site of old Jewel Tea Company with particular attention to the allee of trees and the Gingko tree. 3. Southeast corner development at Barrington and Palatine Roads

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 10:40.
