The work falls into three main categories: 1. Representing the local community 2. Influencing the delivery of effective services to meet local needs 3. Striving to improve the quality of life in the local area. The council holds evening meetings in public 6 times a year. NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL BUDGET CUTS Northamptonshire County Council are having to make cuts to their budgets. It is located in the red phone box on Main Street and is ready to use. Community Heartbeat Trust ran a seminar in the village in November explaining how the equipment works and the benefits

COUNCILLOR VACANCY

The 7 councillors on our village council share an overall responsibility for the well-being of our local neighbourhood. The work falls into three main categories:

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL BUDGET CUTS

Northamptonshire County Council are having to make cuts to their budgets. The main areas which could affect Loddington are:

Removal of bus services. Closure of libraries. Reduction in Highway services. Reduction in number of Trading Standards staff.

FIREWORKS DISPLAY & HALLOWEEN PARTY

The annual Fireworks Display and Halloween Party went with a bang, thank you to all the helpers and attendees.

STREET DOCTOR

If you spot a problem with pot holes, road signs etc. please report it through Northamptonshire County Council’s ‘Street Doctor’ page. The page can be found on the council’s website www.northamptonshire.gov.uk

REMEMBERANCE DAY

St Leonards Church held their service on Sunday 12th December 2017. If you have the opportunity to visit the church, you should take a look at the plaque ‘Roll of Honour’ with all the names of people who serviced in the two World Wars for King and Country.
