This information will also be hosted on MCC Website.Q.No. 8. Do I have to report to any counseling centre for registration orchoice filling?Ans: No. Onlineregistrationandchoicefillingcanbedonefromplaceofconvenience (including from home) using internet.Q.No. 9: Do I require any documents to get registered on-line ?Ans: You will be required to fill up some of the information that you have givenonyour applicationform, that youfilledandsubmittedtoCentral BoardofSecondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.IMPORTANTPlease keep information that you have furnished on applicationformconfidential, anddonotsharewithanybodyastoregister for onlineallotment process and submit choice you need that information.Ifsomebodyelse uses that information,he/shecanmisuseyour onlineregistration and prevent you from taking part in online allotment process.Keep print out of application form ready for reference with you.Q.No. 10: What information do I require for online registration?Ans: Please note that you will be asked to fill some of the information (we arenot showing it here for securityreasons)that you have given on yourapplication form during online registration for participating in AIPMT, therefore,keep copy of your application form ready for reference.IMPORTANTPlease note that on registration window of online allotment process, youhavetofill inexactlysamespelling, numbersetcasyouhavefilledinyour application form.Q.No. 11: How do I get password for logging in?Ans: During the process of online registration youwill generate password asper password policy, which will be shown to you when you register and createpassword. Candidatesareadvisedto keepthe passwordthat theyhavecreated, confidentialto themtill the endof the counseling/admissionprocess. You can change the password after creating. Password isvery important for participatinginonlineallotment process. Sharingofpassword can result in its misuse by somebody else, leading to even exclusionof genuine candidate from online allotment process.Please also remember your password till end of All India Quota admissionprocess; otherwise you will not be able to participate in counseling/admissionprocess.Q.No. 12: Howmuchtimewill I begiventojointheallottedcourse?Ans: Candidates allotted seats will be required to join theallotted college/course within stipulated time which is mentioned incounseling schedule. However, candidates are advised to join as early aspossible and not towait for last day of joining, due todifferent schedule ofholiday(including local holidays) / working hours in various Medical / DentalColleges. In some of the colleges/ universities, 2-3 days time is required tocomplete admission formalities. Therefore, candidates are advised to contactallotted college immediately after declaration of result of counseling allotmentprocess, to know the details. If candidate fails to join the allottedMedical/Dental College within stipulated time, then the allotted seat will becancelled and candidate will not be eligible for further Round(s) of the onlineCounseling. Please note that under no circumstances date of joining can beextended by the MCC.Q.No 13: What documents are required at the time of online counseling?Ans: Since it is online allotment (Online Counseling) process, nodocuments will be required for participating in online allotment process.Q.No. 14: What documents are required at the time of joining inallotted Medical / Dental College?Ans: Original documents(alongwithattestedphotocopies of documents)foradmissiontounder-graduate medical coursesfor admissionto15%oftotal seats onall-Indiabasis requiredat thetimeof joininginallottedMedical / Dental College are as mentioned below.(i) Admit Cards of Examissued by Central Board of SecondaryEducation (CBSE).(ii) Result/ Rank letter issued by CBSE.(iii) Date of Birth Certificate (if Metric Certificate does not bear thesame) (iv) Matric Certificate(v)10+2 Certificate(vi) 10+2 Marks Sheet(vii) Six (6) Passport size photograph same as affixed on theapplication form.(viii) Provisional allotment letter generated on-line.(ix) Proof of identity.(x) The Candidate should also bring the following certificate, ifapplicable:(a) SC/ST Certificate issued by the competent authority (inthe standard format as specified in the prospectus/informationbulletin) and it should be in English or Hindi in language. Subcaste should be clearly mentioned in thecertificate. Some ofthe States insist for English version of Caste Certificate.(b) OBC certificate issued by the competent authority. The sub-caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. TheOBC candidatesshouldnot belongtoCreamy Layer toclaim OBC reservation benefit. The OBCcertificate mustbe in the standard format as mentioned in the prospectus/Information Bulletin.(c)OrthopedicPhysical DisabilityCertificateissuedfromadulyconstituted and authorized Medical Boards. (Please seeclause 10.1 of Information Bulletin of AIPMT, for admissionto MBBS/BDS Courses, published by Central Board ofSecondary Education (CBSE) for details). No other PHcertificate, issuedbyanyother Authorities/Hospital willbe entertained.(Candidatesareadvisedtoseecollegeinformation, ofallottedcollegefor, anyother document whichmayberequired by the allotted college)Candidateswithout original certificates/documentsshallnot be allowedtotakeadmissioninallottedMedical/Dental College.Candidates who have deposited their original documentswithany other Institute/ College/Universityandcomeforadmission with a certificate statingthat "theiroriginal certificates are deposited with theIntitute/ College / University"will not be allowedto takeadmissionin allotted Medical/Dental College.Q.No. 15: What are the instructions regarding OBC, SC,ST andPH certificates?Ans: Please read/see clause 10.1 of, AIPMT InformationBulletin foradmission to MBBS/BDS Courses, published by Central Board of SecondaryEducation (CBSE) for details for admission to 15% of total seats on all-Indiabasis carefully. The certificate requirements are mentioned in prospectus onstandard format in English or Hindi language (in case of certificate in Hindilanguage, English translation duly attestedmust accompanythe originalcertificate).Candidates are requestedto read prospectus and instructions regardingCaste and Physical Handicap (PH) Certificate carefully. In case thecandidate fail to produce proper Caste (and PH, if applicable) certificate atallotted Medical/Dental College then he/she willnot be permitted to join theallotted Medical / Dental College (allotted seat will be cancelled) and his/hercategory will be changed, if otherwise eligible for changed category.Q.No. 16: Fromwhere can I obtain Physical Handicap (PH)Certificate?Ans: The qualified loco-motor disabled Physical Handicap (PH)candidates should get themselves examined and certified at one of the undermentioned Disability Assessment Boards, constituted at the four metro-cities:(i) Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjang Hospital, AnsariNagar,(Ring Road), New Delhi-110029.(ii) All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Hazi Ali, Park, K.Khadya Marg, Mahalaxmi, Mumbai-400 034.(iii) Institute of Post Graduate MedicalEducation & Research, 244, ArcharyaJ.C.Bose Marg, Kolkata-20.(iv) Madras Medical College, Park Town, Chennai- 600003.The Locomotor Disabled (LD), physically handicapped (PH)candidates are required to carry theirtreatment papers relatedtotheirdisability, includingthe investigationreports, at thetimeof reportingtotheabove mentioned designated institute authorized to issue disability certificate.Physically Handicap (PH) Candidates are also requested to see the notice forPHcandidatesfor clarificationabout PH- 1andPH-2categories, whichisshown after the last question in this section.Q.No. 17: Is it necessary to obtain PH certificate from abovementioned Centres only?Ans: Yes. Thecertificateissuedby any other hospital/ boardwill not beaccepted.Q.No. 18: What are the details of disability for claiming advantage underPH category?Ans: Pleaseseenoticeafter thelast questioninthis section.Q.No. 19: Is there anyrestrictionfor fillingupnumber of choicesof Institution(College) (andcoursesi.e. MBBSandBDS) inchoicefilling form?Ans: No, you can give as many choices as you wish during online choicefilling. However choices should be in order of candidates preference.Q.No.20: Can I havesome idea about theseatI am likely togetatmy rank?Ans: You can have some idea fromthe following:a. Please log ontowebsite from home page go to medical counseling openUnder-Graduate(for previousyears) opencompositeallotmentlist. From the information that you will see, you get some idea of patternin previous year(s). This will only be indicative (without any guarantee forthe current year). Opening and Closing rank, course and category-wise isalso available in Download section of home page of MCC website.b. Fromresult of Mock CounselingandIndicativeSeat Allotment(during the registration period/ during round-1).Q.No. 21: What is Mock Counseling (result)/ indicative seatallotment?Ans: DuringMockCounseling, choicessubmittedbythecandidateswill beprocessedtwice duringthe counselingperiodof round-1, as mentionedinCounselingScheduleandindicative seat that islikelytobeavailableat thatpoint of time would be displayed. This helps the candidate to refine theselection of choices in a more effective and efficient manner. Indicativeallotment of seat (Mock allotment), will be shown twice (on notified dates).Q.No. 22. Is it necessary to fill up the choices and lock the choices to getseat allotted? Or I will be allotted seat automatically from leftover seats?Ans: After online registration (registration is compulsoryto take part inonlineallotment process, before the round -1 during specified registration period), youhave to fill in choice of Institutions/colleges/courses in order of yourpreference. Once choice is filled in, it can be modified before locking it. Duringthe choice locking period, it is necessary to lock the choices to get aprint of your submitted choices. If candidate does not lock the choicesubmitted byhim/her, it willbe automatically locked at 5.00PM of last date ofchoice locking.If you dont register and fill in choices during registration period, you willnot be allotted any seat. Please also note that registration will be availableonce only, before allotmentof round - 1,duringperiod specifiedinschedule.Important:Dont wait till the lastminute toRegister andLockyourchoicesandtotake a printout. Please go through your submitted choices before locking,as once you lock the choices they cannot be modified or changed even ifyou have made a mistake. It may result in allotment of a seat which youneverwanted. Thechoicessubmittedbeforeround-1allotmentprocesswill be used for allotment process during round-1 and round-2.Q.No. 23: Isit necessarytojoinallottedMedical/Dental Collegetogetchance to participate in next round (2nd/3rd round)?Ans: Yes, candidates are required to join allotted institution/collegeandcomplete the admission formalities then only candidate can exercise option toparticipate in next round(s) at allotted college, during admission process.Q.No. 24 : If some new Under-graduate seats are created / started(increaseinUGseatsor innewmedical/Dentalcolleges) after start ofonline counseling, will these be included and when?Ans: Newly created/sanctioned seats that could not be includedin first round(and second round) due to non-reporting / late reporting/ reporting after start offirst round of online allotment process, will be included in third round (Round-3)on receiving information from participating Medical / Dental Colleges before thestart of third round (publication of the seat matrix).Q.No. 25: What is second round of online allotment process?Ans: Second round of online allotment process is up-gradation of choice round.2nd round of seat allotmentThere is no fresh registration of candidates and choice submission in 2nd roundof counseling. Choices of main counseling(submitted before first roundallotment) will be considered for this round of allotment.Who is eligible for 2nd Round of allotment?Candidates eligible for seat allotment in 2nd round would be from one of thefollowing groups:GroupI: Registered candidates who did not get any seat allotment in the 1stround.Group-II: Registered candidates, whose 1st roundof allottedSeat Cancelledduring the document verification on reporting for admission, who have securedseat under reservedquota, duetochangeof CategoryfromreservedtoUnreservedor PHstatusfromYestoNoorfromPH-1toPH-2, subject toeligibility inchanged category, will beconsidered forallotment of seat inthenext round of seat allotment, with changed Category, subject to availability ofseat in respective category.GroupIII: Candidates who have reported at allotted institute during 1st roundof allotment and submitted willingness for second round up-gradation as Yes.Who is not eligible for 2nd Round of allotment? Not reported at Allotted Institute during reporting period of allotment in 1stround (i.e not admitted to seat allotted during round -1) Reported & Withdrawn (Resigned) from counseling at Allotted Institute. Became non-eligible due to change of category. Candidates who have not opted for up-gradation during round-2.Q.No. 26: What is third round (Round-3) of online allotmentprocess?Ans: Third round of online allotment willbe conducted for the candidates whohavesubmitted their option forparticipation inthird round and forthose whowere registered and submitted choices before first round but not allotted seats.Please see details below also.Q.No 27: What is the procedure for third round (round-3) ?Ans:3rd round of Counseling:Freshset of seatsgetsadded tothesystem(seatsavailable duringround-1and round-2), if any, which is due to latest approvals of MCI/DCI (increase inadmission capacity of existing Medical/Dental College/ starting of newMedical/Dental college). Further, theconversionof seatsisalsocarriedoutduring the round-3 of seat allotment and accordingly, the candidates arerequiredtobeshownall choices(seatsavailableandlikelytobeavailable)which are against vacant, newly added seats, virtual vacancies which are likelyto get vacated during up-gradation and also during the conversion of seats asper the following algorithm:ST(PH) ->STSC (PH) -> SCUR (PH) -> UROBC (PH) -> OBCST -> SCSC-> URThe choices of candidates, who have submitted option for participation in thethird round during the reporting period for the first / second round seatallotment, would be initialized (the choices remaining after allotment, submittedbeforeround-1will standcancelled), andcandidatesarerequiredtosubmitfresh choices online during the time the window is open for the same.All eligible candidates (as shown below) who desire to take part in third roundof online allotment will have to submit fresh choices during choicesubmission period and lock the choices during period of locking.There will not be any indicative allotment in round-3 of allotment, lockedchoicesof thecandidateswouldbeprocessedandresult will bepublished.Those candidates, who do not submit fresh choices for the round-3 counseling,would not be considered.Q.No. 28: Will there be any Mock Counseling and indicative allotment in3rd round of allotment ?Ans: There will not be any Mock Counseling and indicative seat allotment in 3rdround of allotment.Q.No. 29: Who is eligible for 3rd Round (Round-3) of allotment?ANS:GroupI: Registered candidates who did not get any seat allotment in the 1stand 2nd round of seat allotment and have submitted fresh choices as per thevacancies shown before the third round of counseling.Group-II: Registeredcandidates, whose2ndroundallottedSeat Cancelledduring the document verification on reporting for admission, who had securedseatunder reservedquota, duetochangeof CategoryfromreservedtoUnreservedor PHstatusfromYestoNoorfromPH-1toPH-2, subject toeligibilityinchangedcategory, suchcandidateswill beconsideredfor seatallotment in the next round of seat allotment, with changed Category, subject toavailability of seat in respective changed category.GroupIII: Candidateswhogaveoptionfor participationin3rdroundat thetime of 1st and/or 2nd round reporting at allotted institutions.Q.No. 30: Who are not eligible for 3rd Round of allotment?Ans: Candidates who did not report at Allotted Institute after seat allotment ineither 1st or 2nd rounds Reportedfor admission&thenwithdrawn/resigned fromseat at theAllotted Institute. Became non-eligible due to change of category during documentverification Candidate who does not submit fresh choices in 3rd round. Whodidnot registerfor onlineallotment of seat beforefirst roundofcounseling. Please note that in case the candidate submit option to participate in round2 only and does not give option to participate in round-3, such candidates ifnot up-graded in round -2, their option submitted at the time of admission offirst roundwill bevalidandsuchcandidates will not beconsideredforround-3.Q.No. 35: If I give consent for up-gradation of my choice during secondAll eligible candidates interested in participationin the third roundcounselingare requiredto submit fresh choices, without which theywill not be considered.Q.No. 31:Canacandidateparticipateinthirdround without submittingfresh choices (on the basis of choices submitted before round-1)?Ans: Freshchoice submission byeligiblecandidates, asmentioned above isnecessary for consideration for seat allotment during round-3. If candidate doesnot submit fresh choice(s)during choice filling period, the candidatewill not beconsideredforallotmentofseatduringRound-3andwillretainthealreadyallotted (joined) seat, if any.Q.No. 32:DoI havetofill inchoiceof College/Coursetoparticipate insecond round of online allotment process?Ans: No. For second round, candidates are not required to submit fresh choice.Duringthesecondroundof onlineallotment process, thechoiceof higherpreference(fromchoicessubmittedbeforetheround-1)will beupgradedforthose candidates who give option to upgrade their choice at the time ofadmission at allotted Medical/Dental College, subject to availability of seat.Q.No. 33:DoI havetofill inchoiceof College/Course toparticipate inthird round of online allotment process?Ans: Yes. All candidateswhodesiretotakepart inthirdroundwill havetosubmit fresh choices before third round. Please see details in answer toquestion number 31 above.Q.No. 34: If therearenosufficient numberof qualifiedPHcandidates,what will happen to those un-allotted UG seats, reserved for PHcandidates ?Ans: The un-allotted UG seats earmarked for UR-PH,SC-PH,ST-PH and OBC-PH will be reverted to respective categories like SC-PH to SC and so on, duringthethirdroundof allotment processafterprocessingchoicestoPHcategorycandidates in third round.Q.No. 38: If I forget my password that I have created during the process ofroundandif mychoiceisupgraded, isit necessarytojoinat collegeallotted during second round? Or in case I change mydecision ofupgradingchoice, canI continuestudyincollegeallottedthroughfirstround of allotment?Ans: Incasecandidateisallotted seat duringthesecondroundof allotmentprocess(choiceisup-graded),theseat allottedduringthefirst roundwill beautomatically cancelled immediately (and allotted to somebody else) andcandidate will have tojoin the college/seatallotted during second round afterobtaining online generated relieving letter from college allotted in Round-1. Ifcandidate does not join the college/seat allotted during the second round, withinstipulatedperiod, asper schedule, fromthedateof allotment, candidatewillforfeit his/her allotted seat and will not be considered for subsequent rounds ofseat allotment. Seat canalsobeup-gradedinthesamecollege(samecourse) by change of category (i.e. ST/SC/OBC to UR) in such a case alsothe candidate has to take freshadmissionon the up-gradedseat, asperprocedure. The same will apply for allotment in round-3.Q.No. 36: While joining college allotted through first round if I dont wantup-gradation of choice (in round-2), but want to keep option to fill choicebefore third round for newly added UG seat, is it possible?Ans: Yes. For this, candidate is required to exercise the option at thetime ofjoining the institution/college.Q.No 37: If I give option to participate in third round at the time of joiningcollege from first / second round allotment, but later change my decisionandwant tocontinuestudy at already allottedMedical /Dental College,what istheprocedure toavoidchange(cancellation) ofalready allottedcollege/seat?Ans: If a candidate does not submit fresh choice(s) during the choicesubmissionperiod before the third roundof counseling, such acandidate willretain thealready allotted seat. If candidate isnot allotted anyseat fromthesubmitted choices during the round-3, then also the candidate will retain her/hisearlier allotted seat.registration, how to retrieve it.Ans: To retrieve the forgotten password, systemfacilitates the followingprocess:The candidate is required to enter the information that he/she filled at the timeof registrationandthen security question &answer thereon tobeentered asgiven during New Candidate registration process. The above data submitted bycandidatewill bevalidatedwiththeregisteredcandidates database. If theabove entries match, then only the candidate would be permitted to enter newpassword to proceed further.IMPORTANTCandidates are advised to remember the password, Security question& its chosen answer and also retain their application form printout readytill completion of admission process.
