Greetings from Harvesters, Can you see the blessings in your life as you look back over the past year? That is what I have been asking myself. Change is hard for most of us and we sure have seen a lot happen in our personal lives and through Harvesters in 2015. We have had a lot of transitions in the ministry and within our own lives as well. I have personally struggled with the new transition but feel I have finally made it over the biggest adjustment. Learning to “let go and let God” has been difficult but rewarding. He is doing great things in spite of the challenges. To serve Him faithfully means to allow Him control of every situation. When I think about the people we are touching through Harvesters’ ministry and with your partnership, it is amazing. The ministry continues to grow. This year we have added two new stateside people. Double digit teams have gone out to serve in Yei and Terekeka as well. And a whole host of short-term mission volunteers have also stepped up to help across both campuses. We took in another 100 students in our Yei school campus and our Terekeka school is growing by leaps and bounds (over 200 attending now). We are actively working to strengthen our teachers and build them up. And in this regard, we are grateful for new missionaries, Mark Flynn and Chris LeGrand who are overseeing the school in Yei and doing individual counseling and tutoring lessons for students who need it. The church continues to grow with over 250 in faithful weekly attendance in Yei and over 100 in Terekeka. We have seen twenty-five plus salvations from the village this past year through the ministry of the church and our home cell groups. The hospital has delivered over 2,732 babies since we opened in 2012! We entrust each of these precious children to His care and hope they will be beacons of His light throughout South Sudan. In addition to the deliveries, we have treated over 6,553 children. The vocational training center opened this year and is working toward placing more of our orphans in the center next year to provide them with the skills needed to eventually transition back into their communities. We praise the Lord that two of our current students gave their hearts to Jesus. And in Terekeka, beyond the 200 plus students, we have 50 orphans who are growing and maturing more and more each day. One of the biggest challenges we face is finding replacements for Lance and Kim who are leaving by the end of November. Filling their big shoes will be no easy process. Lance and Kim have served the Mundari people faithfully since we opened this campus in 2010. I know how hard it will be for them to come back to the US and see what God has in store for them next. We are grateful for your prayers for Lance and Kim and Terekeka during this time. We are trusting in God’s providential care and wisdom. We know He will provide and strengthen the current staff to work together. Everything happens for a reason and we trust God for the next steps in Terekeka and indeed in all of our lives. So saying all of this, I am so thankful for every orphan, student, staff, missionary, donor and prayer warrior that we come in contact with. Thank you Lord for your Goodness! Greetings from

Harvesters,

Can you see the blessings in your life

as you look back

over the past year? That is what I have

been asking myself. Change is hard for most of us and we sure have

seen a lot happen in our personal lives and through Harvesters in 2015. We have had a lot of transitions

in the ministry and within our own lives as well.

I have personally struggled with the new transition but feel I have finally made it over the biggest

adjustment. Learning to “let go and let God” has been difficult but rewarding. He is doing great things

in spite of the challenges. To serve Him faithfully means to allow Him control of every situation.

When I think about the people we are touching

through Harvesters’ ministry and with your partnership, it is amazing.

The ministry continues to grow. This year we have

added two new stateside people. Double digit teams have gone out to serve in Yei and Terekeka as well.

And a whole host of short-term mission volunteers have also stepped up to help across both campuses.

We took in another 100 students in our Yei school

campus and our Terekeka school is growing by leaps and bounds (over 200 attending now). We are

actively working to strengthen our teachers and build them up. And in this regard, we are grateful

for new missionaries, Mark Flynn and Chris LeGrand who are overseeing the school in Yei and doing

individual counseling and tutoring lessons for students who need it. The church continues to grow with over 250 in

faithful weekly attendance in Yei and over 100 in Terekeka. We have seen twenty-five plus salvations

from the village this past year through the

ministry of the church and our home cell groups.

The hospital has delivered over 2,732 babies

since we opened in 2012! We entrust each of

these precious children to His care and hope they will be beacons of His light throughout

South Sudan. In addition to the deliveries, we have treated over 6,553 children.

The vocational training center opened this year

and is working toward placing more of our orphans in the center next year to provide them

with the skills needed to eventually transition back into their communities. We praise the Lord

that two of our current students gave their hearts to Jesus.

And in Terekeka, beyond the 200 plus students,

we have 50 orphans who are growing and maturing more and more each day. One of the

biggest challenges we face is finding replacements for Lance and Kim who are leaving

by the end of November. Filling their big shoes will be no easy process. Lance and Kim have

served the Mundari people faithfully since we opened this campus in 2010. I know how hard it

will be for them to come back to the US and see what God has in store for them next. We are

grateful for your prayers for Lance and Kim and Terekeka during this time.

We are trusting in God’s providential care and

wisdom. We know He will provide and strengthen the current staff to work together.

Everything happens for a reason and we trust

God for the next steps in Terekeka and indeed in all of our lives.

So saying all of this, I am so thankful for every

orphan, student, staff, missionary, donor and prayer warrior that we come in contact with. Thank you Lord for your Goodness!

Page 3 CELEBRATING THE PROMISE

As you know Christmas is a time we celebrate our Savior’s birth and like the wise men, we have come to celebrate Christmas with gift giving. As we launch our 3rd Annual Christmas Gift Catalog this year, we invite you to shop gifts that literally bless the lives of those being served in South Sudan. You can use this gift catalog to: 1) Give your year-end gift with the enclosed envelope as a general contribution or by selecting an item(s) in the catalog that speaks to your heart.

2) Select gifts from the catalog in lieu of traditional gifts to family, friends, neighbors, etc., to honor them while also helping others. Upon request you’ll receive a tribute card(s) you can give to them telling them a gift has been given to Harvesters in their name and the impact it will have.

3) Share the catalog with your family, friends, church group and /or other individuals that might be interested in giving a gift that makes a difference.

To shop Harvesters' Christmas Gift Catalog online, visit our website HRTN.org. There you can go to SHOP in the menu and select Christmas Gift Catalog OR you can click on the Homepage Banner advertising the Christmas Gift Catalog.

Thank you in advance for being a blessing to our children and others in South Sudan with your gift. We pray you’re blessed

as you search our catalog and see the faces of the many lives that have and are continuing to be changed because of your faithfulness. God bless you this Christmas and in the new year!

*Please Note: It’s recommended you use Firefox or Google Chrome to view the online catalog. Also, you will likely be prompted to adjust your security settings to allow for the catalog to display, this happens for all first-time visitors to the online catalog. Should you want to purchase an item(s) but prefer not to temporarily adjust your security settings please contact us at 972.941.4460 and we can process your order by phone.

Helpful Information Regarding Year-End Giving We appreciate your generosity, especially during this time of year. IRS guidelines are very strict on the recognition of year-end gifts for charitable contribution purposes. The IRS allows individuals to deduct from their income charitable donations in the year the donations were delivered. With the timing of the holidays and the pace of mail deliveries, we know that some donations made late in the month will not arrive in our office until after the first of the year. Our policy is to use the postmark date of all donations received as indicative of when the donation was delivered. Therefore, your receipts for any cash donations postmarked prior to January 1st will be considered a donation for 2015.

Any donations received with postmarks beginning January 1, 2016 will be gratefully accepted and acknowledged as a 2016 donation. To ensure that credit card donations made via HRTN.org are credited for 2015 please make your donation before midnight, December 31, 2015. Any gifts of stocks or securities, whether hand-delivered or electronically transferred, must be received prior to January 1st in order to be recorded as received in the current year. If you have any questions, or want to make a year-end gift, please contact our Development Director, Diane Black, at [email protected] or 979.661.0046 or our Ministry Admin. Coordinator, Peter Porsche, at [email protected] or 972.941.4460.

You can choose items from the following categories:

Basic Needs, Discipleship, Education, Health Care, Celebration

Mare Ladu

Mare has grown in maturity this past year. He has been open to

correction and learned through his mistakes. He is willing to help out when needed, and loves to participate in group activities.

He chose to be baptized this year to confirm his faith in Christ. We are thankful for his smile and laughter and the way he involves

others in what he is doing. Please pray Mare will know who he is

in Christ and that he will be able to stand for righteousness when others around are falling.
