What is Course Creator?

Course Creator provides teachers with the ability to fully integrate Mathletics into their

teaching program. Mathletics courses can be customised to match the desired Maths course

for a class and for groups within a class:

Create!

1A Entering Course Creator

1B Start from Scratch

1C Start from a Template

Apply

2A Set your course in the Admin Centre

2B Set your course in the Teacher Centre

Based on the concepts that you add to each topic, the Course Creator will automatically

formulate:

• Are You Ready? (pre-test)

• Test

• Something Easier (remediation)

• Something Harder (extension)



Create!

1A Entering Course Creator

→→→→ Sign into Mathletics using your Admin Centre

details and select ‘Mathletics Administration

Centre’.

→→→→ Select ‘Course Creator’ from the Mathletics

Administration Menu.

1B Start from Scratch

→→→→ Select ‘Create New Course’ at the top of

the screen.

The ‘View Course Outlines’ link will show

you a PDF of the current Mathletics

Course Outline.

You may wish to open this before

creating your course as a reference to

guide your choices.



→→→→ Enter a unique name for your course and

Select ‘Create a course from scratch’ from

the options.

Use the filter to select the Default Year

Group and click ‘Submit’.

→→→→ Click ‘New Topic’ and type in the name and

submit.

You will then see your topic appear in the

list.

Select ‘Edit Content’ to assign activities to

your topic.

→→→→ There are Three options for selecting

activities: Activity Title, Activity Topic or by

State Outcome.

You can refine your search in each tab

through the drop-down menus available in

each tab.

→→→→ Once you have found the activities you want,

drag them into your list.

If you wish to remove an activity, just drag it

down into the trash.

Once you are happy with your selections,

click on ‘Submit Topic’.



→→→→ You can change the order of your topics if

you wish to by dragging them up or down

the list.

Once you are happy with your topics and

activities, click ‘Submit Course’ to save and

create your course.

1C Start from a Template

→→→→ Select ‘Create New Course’ at the top of the

screen.

The ‘View Course Outlines’ link will show

you a PDF of the current Mathletics Course

Outline.

You may wish to open this before creating

your course as a reference to guide your

choices.

→→→→ Enter a unique name for your course and

Select ‘Use an Existing Template’ from the

options.

Use the filter to select the Default Year

Group and click ‘Submit’.



→→→→ Select the Default Course you want to use as

a template for your new course and click

‘Submit’.

→→→→ Your template course now appears set up in

your new course.

You can use drag and drop to rearrange the

topics or remove topics.

You can change the activities in each topic by

clicking ‘Edit Content’.

→→→→ When you have finished modifying the

course, select ‘Submit Course’.

Returning to the main page, you will see your

courses.



Apply

2A Set your course in the Admin Centre →→→→ Select 'Mathletics Class Administration' from

the Mathletics Administration Menu.

→→→→ Select ‘Update Class’ next to the class you

wish to apply the course to.

→→→→ Select ‘Edit Class Details’ and use the drop-

down menu to select your course.

Click on ‘Save’ to set the course.



2B Set your course in the Teacher Centre →→→→ Select ‘Course’ from the Class main menu in the

Teacher Centre.

→→→→ Select the ‘Change Course’ tab and use the drop-

down menu to select the course and click ‘Save’.
