Emergency Medical Responder 3

The Emergency Medical Responder/First Responder (EMR/FR) program is a minimum of 1.0credit course developed to provide training in the provision of emergency care for those who arelikely to be the first medical personnel responding to the scene of an accident, fire, or medicalemergency. Students will understand the development of Europe within the context of history byexamining connections to the past in order to prepare for the future as participatingmembers of a global community. Students will use knowledge pertaining to history,geography, economics, political processes, religion, ethics, diverse cultures andhumanities to solve problems in academic, civic, social and employment settings.

World History

AP World History

AP World History focuses on developing students’ abilities to think conceptually aboutworld history from approximately 8000 BCE to the present and apply historical thinkingskills as they learn about the past. Five themes of equal importance — focusing on theenvironment, cultures, state-building, economic systems, and social structures — provideareas of historical inquiry for investigation throughout the course. AP World Historyencompasses the history of the five major geographical regions of the globe: Africa, theAmericas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania, with special focus on historical developments andprocesses that cross multiple regions
