BSC COURSE SECTION KEY If a course section contains one or more letters, the following definitions apply: A 1st and 3rd Quarter sections; Summer Session I B 2nd and 4th Quarter sections; Summer Session II C Cohort Section -- Restricted to students belonging to a specific BSC main campus cohort. D Interactive Video (INV) Conferencing Section -- Synchronous-2-Way Interactive Audio/Video section. F Off-Campus Section -- Lecture-based course held at an off campus location, or sponsored through the office of Off-Campus Programs. G Grant Section -- Offered in cooperation with the Grants and Sponsored Projects office. Contact Off Campus Programs at 508.531-6010 or [email protected] . Registration is restricted. H Honors (HON) Section - Primarily offered to students enrolled in the All-College Honors Program. J Study Abroad or Out-of-State (TRV) Section -- Study tours or courses offered through Bridgewater State College in foreign countries or out of state. P Restricted Program Cohort Section – Registration restricted to students enrolled in an off-campus cohort. Consent of Off-Campus Programs office is required. Contact office at 508.531-6010 or [email protected] R Restricted Section – Registration is restricted. Contact sponsoring department. V Video/DVD (VID) Section -- Offered through pre- recorded programs on videotape or DVD. Supplemental class meetings on campus may be required. Additional fee required W Web (WEB) Section -- Internet course offered exclusively (100%) over the World Wide Web. X Web-Hybrid (WBH) Section – Between 50% and 79% of the course is taught over the World Wide Web. The remainder of the course is taught in a classroom setting – from 8-19 contact hours per 3-credit course. Y Web-Based with Lecture (WBL) Section – Internet course where 80% or more is taught over the World Wide Web.
