While I would be enthusiastic abut any of the three offered internships, I think that I could do my best work in the Design Engineering Team, which would allow me to excersise my ability to marry creative, imaginative design with a strong emphasis practicality and user cernteredness. I am seeking to expand my experience in the field of design and I believe that at Hallmark I could achieve that while strengthing your design team with my fresh design perspective, strong creative problem solving skills, and tireless work ethic. I am currently in my senior year working on my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design at The Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA, and will be graduating This March. Through a variety of design classes I have developed products for a wide range of users, from world travelers, to children, to third world amputees. I have conducted and directed research groups to gain insight into different target markets in order to develop appropriate final products. By conducting user testing I have confirmed and finalized designs. Additionally I have honed my ideation, model making, 2-D and 3-D computer skills in order to successfully communicate my designs. I am interested in all different areas of design and design research, but whatever I do I want to design products that facilitate joy. I am a hard worker who loves to add a dash of whimsy to my designs. By thoroughly understanding the user I believe that one can create truly successful products that will resonate with users and create brand loyalty.
