tection on his dairy. After research-ing the options, Todd installed CowManager from Select Sires. “The ear tags seemed like a better way of monitoring cows than other systems out there,” explains Todd.

Since installing CowManager in February of 2015, Todd has seen an increase in reproductive perfor-mance on his dairy. “Heat detection has been amazing, especially at night. I’m breeding more cows than I was with visual heat detection,” states Todd. The Heieies are getting cows pregnant faster - 44% of the cows are pregnant at less than 150 days in milk compared to 29% in November 2014.

Todd believes CowManager’s health module has been a big benefit to the dairy. He continues, “It helps us find sick cows sooner and helps us make management decisions on individual cows.” The herd is now at 134 SCC compared to 381 in November.

The mobile version of CowMan-ager has also been a valuable tool and asset for Todd. “I can be in another state and still see

everything that is going on with the cows.”
