For all other uses, please request permission from inf o@stnicholascenter .or g St. Nicholas Stocking Materials: 9 x 12-inch piece of felt, in purple or color of your choice Scraps of red, white, pink, and yellow felt Black and 1 other color (for name on cuff ) 3-D scribble paint Craft glue Thread Ribbon (optional, for hanging) Equipment: Scissors (pinking shears optional) Sewing machine (or sew by hand) Directions: 1. Cut out 2 stocking pieces (pinking shears give a decorative edge). 2. Sew approximately 1/4 inch in from the outer edge, leaving top open. Turn down top to form cuff. Stocking is seam side out except for cuff. 3. Cut St. Nicholas head pieces from scraps of felt. 4. Glue St. Nicholas head pieces into position below cuff so no portion will be covered up by cuff. Glue in this order: face, beard, hair, mustache, nose, miter (hat), and cross. 5. Paint name on cuff with 3-D scribble paint. 6. Paint eyes with black 3-D scribble paint. Let dry 2–4 hours. 7. To hang stocking, sew on loop of ribbon.

St. Nicholas Stocking
