Hello & Welcome! The Blackall Cultural Association looks forward to hosting you for the “Out There… with Craig Penny” Retreat. The retreats are held in Blackall, Central Western Queensland, and offer you an all encompassing experience; the art, the colour, the texture, the taste and the heart of the Outback all being the very best we have to offer. “Out There… with Craig Penny” is an acrylic and pen and wash watercolour Retreat that runs from Wednesday 13th June through to Sunday 17rd June 2018. This information pack has been produced so you have all the information you need prior to your arrival. AccommodationandClimateWintermonths can sometimes be cool in Blackall – particularly earlymornings, evenings andovernight. The LivingArts Centrewas once the original Blackall Student Hostel, a home awayfrom home for country students attending the local school. It now provides accommodation,catering facilities andworkshop spaceunderone roof for art& craftworkshops, Retreats andmuch more. Split systems for cooling and heating are in the workshop rooms, kitchen andbedrooms.Alllinenandbeddingisprovided.Wesuggestthatyoupackyourclothingaccordingly.Optingforlayersofclothingwouldbeidealasthedayscansometimesbequitewarm,andthetemperaturecandropasthesungoesdown.We also suggest you bring comfortable shoes, suitable for prolonged days and walking shortdistancesduringexcursions.The Living Arts Centre does offerWiFi at a cost of $10 for the 5 days. There is goodmobilephonereceptionintown,butthisislimitedtomobilesconnectedtoTelstra.Vodaphone,Optusandother serviceproviderswillnotwork inBlackall. 3. BlackallCulturalAssociationreservestherighttocancelorpostponetheretreat.4. TheTutor/Artistreservestherighttocancelorpostponetheretreat.5. Cancellations prior to 21st May 2018 will receive 100% refund. Refund will not include

depositafter21thMay2018.6. Blackall Cultural Association is not responsible for any travel or other costs incurred for

yourbooking.7. Minimum of 8 bookings required by 21thMay 2018 – allmonieswill be refunded if not
