This tutorial covers how to create allocation maps for rolldown operations.

Overview
You can create allocation maps specifically for rolldown operations.
Scenario
In this example, you create an allocation map for a rolldown operation from the product family down to the product
model.
Software and Hardware Requirements
The following is a list of software requirements:
Integrated Operational Planning 4.0.1
Java Development Kit JDK 1.6.0_12 or later
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x or 7.x
Oracle 10.2.0.4 or 11.1.0.7 database
Prerequisites
Before starting this tutorial, you should:
. Load the Integrated Operational Planning model.
. Start the Integrated Operational Planning server.
. Define Integrated Operational Planning dimensions, row sources, and cubes.
Creating Allocation Maps for Rolldown Operations
To create an allocation map for a rolldown operation, perform the following steps:
1. Log on to Integrated Operational Planning as the administrator.

2. From Planning Workbench, click the Administration Workbench link.
3. In the Object Browser section, from the View drop-down list, select Cubes.

4. In the Object Browser section, click PlanDemand.
The PlanDemand cube is selected.
5. From the Actions drop-down list, select Edit to display Cube Wizard.
6. Select the Allocationmaps tab.
7. Click Create to display Allocation Map Wizard.

8. In the Name box, enter the name of the allocation map. In this example, you are creating a rolldown allocation map fromthe Product dimension family down to the Product dimension model. You name it family_to_model.
9. From the Source Dimension drop-down list, select the source dimension. In this example, select the Product dimension.
10. Select the AllocationScope tab.

11. In the Source Scope section, specify the source dimension members for the rolldown allocation. In this example, specifyProduct Family.
12. In the Target Scope section, specify the target columns for the rolldown allocation. In this example,specify Product Family.
13. Select the Dimension Maps tab.
14. In the Source Dimension Maps section, click the not mapped link.

15. Click Edit.
16. From the Mapping drop-down list, select Parent. In this example, this is a rolldown allocation from parent to children.

17. From the Dimension drop-down list, select Product, and click OK.
18. In the Target Dimension Maps section, click the not mapped link.

21. From the Dimension drop-down list, select Product, and click OK.
22. Click Save to return to Cube Wizard.

The allocation map is saved for the PlanDemand cube.
Note: Be sure to republish the model before allowing your end users to work with it.
