NGO Ukrainian Chaplaincy

Specifying organization - is to promote spiritual and mental rehabilitation of Ukrainian society. Public organization "Ukrainian Chaplaincy" is the heir and successor of the traditions of ideological, spiritual and moral foundations of the world's chaplaincy, the purpose of which there is help - moral, psychological and spiritual - to any of the citizens.

Ukrainian Chaplaincy - is a voluntary, public organization, which was founded by former soldiers and priests of different denominations in January 2013.

The organization is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, Decrees of the President of Ukraine, applicable law, Ukraine recognized norms of international law and instruments adopted by the Ministry of Defense in the field of chaplaincy and moral and psychological support.

Today, the organization has 16 separate units in 14 regions of Ukraine. In the process of registration of documents 4 more branches. Our members, military chaplains serve in the "Interfaith battalion chaplains" in combat units in the east of Ukraine. The purpose and mission are united more than 300 people.

In August 2014 it was started, and by October of the same year, was written by the program of comprehensive rehabilitation of combatants. In developing the program was attended by consultants from various sectors of Ukrainian society. Namely: medical, psychological, spiritual, social, professional and legal fields.

To implement the program, in January 2015, had started work on the project opened in 24 regions of Ukraine, within 2 years, more than 100 rehabilitation and adaptation centers for combatants (including family members). It is also planned to open rehabilitation centers in Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania and Bulgaria.The project was called “Welcome Home”. The program is based on the principle of the 12 steps to recovery. Similar programs operate in the United States since 1936, and contribute to the recovery of veterans of Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Social rehabilitation (social worker, motivational coach, an expert on re-profession, education specialist, lawyer).

Rehabilitation includes the following structural areas: Medical Rehabilitation (dentist, therapist,

physiotherapist, a representative of non-traditional medicine, etc).

Psychological rehabilitation (psychologist, therapist, specialist in PTSD, pet-therapy, therapy with horses, etc).

Spiritual rehabilitation (Chaplain-confessors).

Physical rehabilitation (massage therapist, trainer and consultant)

Family rehabilitation (family psychologist and family coach).

The major objective of the project is to build a system restore not only the ability of man to life in the social environment, but also the social environment, living conditions, violation or restriction for reasons of military operations in Ukraine.

The main principles of the project – stages, differentiation, complexity, validity, personality, professionalism, continuity, consistency and optimal duration in carrying out rehabilitation.

The knowledge and skills gained during the deployment of experts of the project in the future is possible to apply for the permanent support of the mental health of the whole Ukrainian society.

Those men and women who will be recovered during the operation of the project will create a healthy basis for the future of the Ukrainian state.

The main thrust of the project is to re-socialization within 2-5 years more than 600-700 thousand people who were involved in the military conflict in Ukraine. The project also involves the creation of about 3000 jobs in all regions of Ukraine and as a consequence of the involvement of more than 15-20 thousand people in human, business and financial relations.

assembled a team of specialists for further training of employees of rehabilitation centers; 70 people trained skills of psychological work with PTSD and work with combat stress; signed an agreement with the authorities and various agencies on cooperation in the field of

comprehensive rehabilitation of local combatants; involved more than 100 professionals from different spheres of society; information about the concept of rehabilitation and the opening of the center conveyed through

the media and distribution of brochures to more than 100 thousand people; held several roundtables for involvement in the process of rehabilitation of the general public

and representatives of various volunteer organizations; provided financial assistance to more than 400 families of refugees and soldiers in the amount of

more than 150 thousand US dollars; we provide specialized training to improve the psychological resistance of soldiers mobilized in

the training centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; аbout 100 people - members of our organization and partner "Interfaith battalion chaplains"

serve as chaplains in the military units operating on the eastern front of Ukraine; open оutpatient Rehabilitation Center for combatants in Alexandria (Kirovograd region); It formed the first flow rehabilitants of 20 people.

Stage 1

1. The opening of 10 centers for the rehabilitation and adaptation. Will serve about 3,2000 peoples.

Period: up to the end of 2015.

2. On the basis of one of the first centers, the establishment of schools for the training of specialists for

work in rehabilitation centers across Ukraine. Period: up to October 2015.

3. Prepare the required number of specialized professionals. Period: up to the end of 2015.

4. Creation of a common information Site all rehabilitation centers in Ukraine and united into a single

association rehabilitators working on a common program. Period: up to the end of 2015.

Ukraine. Period: January-December 2016.

2. Opening of 4 rehabilitation centers in Poland, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Slovakia. Period: January-July

2016.

3. Economic evaluation of the outcome in the form of financial disclosure report obtained gross profit

businesses of the former rehabilitants. Period: December 2016.

4. The opening of 40 centers for the rehabilitation and adaptation for combatants. Period: January-

December 2017.

1. Redesigning some of the rehabilitation centers at schools (campus) with training in it-technology,

financial management, trade and small-scale commodity production. Period: January - July 2017.

2. Redesigning some of the rehabilitation centers for recruitment centers for the recruitment of

qualified personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Period: July2016 - July 2017.

Detailed description of the first stage

Our mission of first stage- to open 10 full rehabilitation centers of spiritual, psychological, medical and physiological rehabilitation and resettlement of combatants and their families by the end of 2015.Our actions:a) to conclude a contract for the rental or purchase in 10 different cities of the premises or a complex of

buildings a minimum size of 350-400 sq.m. (15 rooms, a conference room, utility rooms, etc.);b) open a web site with information on all rehabilitation centers for combatants in Ukraine;c) to purchase the necessary furniture and equipment for equipping of rehabilitation centers;d) the purchase of cars and minibuses with 18 seats;e) to employ more than 230 professionals in various fields;f) on the basis of the center in Alexandria to create a training center for professionals 30-50 (chaplains,

crisis-interventionists, coaches, etc.);g) pass through the program more than 900 combatants;h) to create conditions of business incubator for training and further realization of 150 - of rehabilitants

own social and business projects;i) in December 2015 to organize an open conference for specialist and to discuss the results of the first

phase of rehabilitation.
