Implementation of the Iowa Program for Infant & Toddler Caregivers (IA PITC)

Project Mission

Taking steps toward improving the quality of care for Iowa’s infants & toddlers.

Iowa ranks 2nd for the percentage (79) of working parents with children five and under.

The Infant Toddler Workgroup of the Iowa State Child Care Advisory Council recognized a need for higher quality infant & toddler care

It was their recommendation to bring WestEd’s PITC training to the state, using the Infant Toddler Earmark from the Child Care Dev. Block Grant.

WestEd is nationally recognized as the leader of infant & toddler caregiver training
