My Favourite Season

My favourite season is summer.

We don’t have to cover our body with uncomfortable layers of woolen clothes.

In summer I am very comfortable in just a T-shirt and shorts.

There are many fruits to eat, cold drinks, fruit juices and the best is Ice –Creams that makes this season to look forward to.

As there is comfort, there are some dangerous consequences that happens to our earth in this season .When we use the AC it cools the room but releases hot air and some gases known as chloro fluoro carbons, out in the air. This is very harmful for the future of the Earth. We must use the AC in the summer with care.

I still like summer because I can play for very long as we have long days. That is why it is my favourite season.

The Alien Attack

I saw a bright light in my backyard and to my surprise, I found an alien!

I was shocked and startled. I had no clue what to do. I thought to myself, shall I scream? Shall I run away? Instead, I walked towards him and said “Hii…iiii!” My voice was trembling and I was stammering! He spoke in a different language, I understood nothing. Then he did some settings in the wires up in his head, and he started speaking in English!! “I am a girl, Glad to meet you” She held my hand and took me to her spaceship. The feeling I had was horrible. I was scared. The spaceship was in the air and without realizing I was screaming, “Aaah…..! Wh-where are y-y-you taking m-me?”

There was a horrible silence at first but then she spoke in her dreamy voice, “You wait and see….” “Why did you pick me? Why not anybody else?” I screamed. I had a really bad feeling that she would throw me out of her spaceship but she spoke to me politely, “I have been observing you since the previous week and I saw that you are very much involved in sci-fi in your school, I thought I could believe in you and therefore……Welcome to planet Malestia!”

I was bedazzled. The planet was very big and had many trees, a shiny palace and people wearing glittering jewels. Then, I saw a monsterous creature sitting on the throne! “Her name is Cruella. She is the queen of our planet. Just like her name, she is very cruel. For fighting against her, we have made an army and we need your help,” the alien said. I wanted to cry but I also wanted to help, so I said “Ok, I’ll help you in any way I can.” “Thank you Aasvi” the alien said she knows my name too, I thought. “You see the sword there? Only a human can handle it. Pull it out, you can easily defend yourself and also kill her with it.” She took me to her home. It was the head quarter of the army. It was a big palace and the whole army cheered and clapped when they saw me. They gave me a costume of an alien so that Cruella wouldn't be suspicious and trained me for days. After a week, I was fully trained and finally I picked the sword up. It was made of pure gold and had diamonds studded in it as well. I had to fight to save this planet and I was prepared for it. Everyone wished me best of luck and with the sword in my hand, I went. I was a bit nervous and I was not sure if Cruella knew how nervous I was!

Page 14: Creative Buzz

I was ready for the fight. Then, she came out of nowhere with many soldiers and attacked me. I was facing Cruella. She attacked me with her hair and I saved myself somehow. Then she attacked me with her hair, it was very painful like a whip. Again and again she whipped me with her hair. Then I had an idea. I distracted her and went right behind her. I chopped off her hair with the sword I had, and …..VICTORY! I had fought with them bravely and I had won! The whole planet congratulated me. The same alien girl brought me back to Earth. She hugged and thanked me. I was pleased to help them. She put me to bed and then went away.

In the morning, no one asked me anything! It was as if I had never gone anywhere!

Then, I thought...I thought again and I had a question, How did she know my name?

The Alien Attack

I saw a bright light in my backyard, to my surprise, I found an alien space ship!!

It all started when I was playing with my brother in my backyard. We were having fun but suddenly a bright light appeared. I went out there to check and was surprised to see an Alien Space Ship. Yes, it’s true. It was an alien space ship! I called my brother. He too had the same expression of disbelief. We gathered some courage and got a little closer to it. We weren’t able to see much at first, then a creature short and slim came out of it.

It surely was from somewhere else! It had two heads four eyes, two noses, everything double!! It was a real alive ALIEN. It was not alone. There were five six aliens, all with the same features. We started moving but they followed us. They looked very ugly, they were green in colour and were covered in some kind of green sticky fluid. And one more thing amazed us, they spoke English amongst themselves. Thank God! I knew English; I tried to

Page 15: Creative Buzz

talk but was not able to. You know talking to an alien is not easy, it seemed I had lost my voice!

They told that their names are X851, X862, Y951, Y968 and Z4. Were they names or some Math problems I wondered! They told me that we need not fear. That they are the students of school ZOLOMANIC and are doing a science project in which they have to research on Earth.

Aliens researching about the Earth??

Is our Earth very famous or are they planning some attack….? was another thought which came into my mind.

Then they explained that although their language is Philnosia….they can translate it to any language through a knob on the back of their neck. They belong to the planet Philnos. They actually took some sample of water, land and air and kept it in a box. I asked them to stay back so that i could introduce them to my friends. But they had to go back to their planet. I took a lot of photographs with them. Then they flew away.

While checking my phone for the photographs, I found that they were selfies of me only!!

It had been a really amazing experience for me.

But nobody believed me. Do you??

Most Memorable Journey

My journey started one day,

My life wanted to take me on a new day.

It was the best time I had my dear.

The journey I had taken that year.

To the sea- side my family and I did go,

Page 16: Creative Buzz

What was in store for us, I did not know.

Five days there, went by in a haze,

In truth, I really miss those days.

Oh! I forgot to tell you where I had gone,

It was to Goa, where the sands shone.

But one thing I tell you for sure,

It opened my life's door.

I learnt many new things,

Oh! how much fun travel brings!

I saw the Church, Synagogue, Mandir and all,

Both sea and the river to me did call.

St. Xavier, he lies in peace and calm,

To troubled souls he provides balm.

You know what? I ate all kinds of foods,

I bought all kinds of fancy goods.

I wish you could have gone with me.

Since then we travel at least once a year

But that was the most memorable journey my dear!

A Memorable Journey

I went to America, 2 years ago. It was a very enjoyable trip. I went with my family and some school friends. We had gone for 15 days. I saw the Nasa Aeronautical station. I met the astronauts. They told us all about rockets and aeronautical equipment. They shared their experience with us. I met some famous writers and novelists. After 3 days in Nasa, we moved to Washington. It is very beautiful city. It is the capital of America and the famous White House, the residence of The President of the US, is situated here. I saw the White House from outside.

We moved to the beach. I swam there for a very long time. We had our dinner in the beach I had crabs! The next day. We moved to New York to see the Statue of Liberty. I saw the past of America. I saw old coins in the Museum. I was surprised to see the coins of Queen Victoria in America although the queen is from England. I saw drawings on old stones and shiny marbles. I saw the old clothes of kings and queens and native Americans. I learnt about the history of America from the guide. The museum was so big. I saw the old games the inhabitants played.

After seeing the beauty of New York, I travelled to the border of America to see the Great Niagara falls. It was so beautiful. I was thinking I was dreaming. We also went to the boating in the Maid of the Mist and saw the border of America and Canada. It was such an enjoyable journey. That was the first time I had gone abroad and it was the most memorable journey of my life.

Memorable Journey

My journey was from Karnal to Jaipur. I went to Jaipur with my school friends as it was a school

trip. We departed from school late at night and reached Jaipur very early morning the next

day.

We were very exhausted with our night journey, so relaxed for some time in our rooms, took a

bath wore our uniforms and went down for breakfast.

We went to see the Jantar Mantar,

Museum, Jalmahal, the City Palace

on the first day.

Next day we went to see Jaigarh

fort, Amber fort and then

proceeded to the restaurant for

lunch. After we returned from

there, we rested in the hotel. In the

evening we went to Choki Dhani for

getting a taste of Rajasthan. There we saw a puppet show and a magic show. We danced p the

dandiya, played some games and did some shopping.

We returned to the hotel very late at night, around 1:30 in the morning! Next day we went to

see the Birla Mandir and the Cottage Industries emporium. After seeing these places we

started our journey back for Karnal.

We reached my home at 11:30 pm. For the next half an hour I was busy giving away gifts, a Shri

Ganesh pendant for my mother, a xylophone for my brother and a suit for my dear Nani.

After that we all slept and I was very happy. It was my most memorable journey of my life.

Memorable Journey

“A journey begins with a single step”

It was an ordinary day for Sam. She was tired. She cooked her dinner, ate it and slept. The

next morning she was very elated and excited as it was her birthday and she could wear

anything to work. She stood in front of her cupboard and picked out a wonderful dress for

herself. Other days she had to wear a grey skirt and a white shirt. It was her office uniform.

Now she was ready to go. She was waiting for the bus at the bus stop. Suddenly a small van

drove right up to her. A lady came out with her face covered up. She put a thick scarf over

Sam's face and Sam felt like she was being dragged into the van. Then she fainted!

When she came to her senses, she was in a mountainous area. "Hey! Who are you guys? Why

have you kidnapped me?” cried Sam. There were 3 persons in that van, everyone uncovered their

faces and shouted “Happy birthday Sam”. Now Sam was a bit relaxed

after knowing that the kidnappers were her friends.

“Oh wow! We are going to Mount Fuji” exclaimed Sam. But if you had told

me I would have brought some snacks". “It's your birthday Sam just enjoy

it", said George. “Journeys begin with a single step, happiness and love, not

with things and snacks,” said John. Everyone laughed. This was the best and most memorable

journey for Sam. We all should take out time to enjoy with family and friends. We should make

our life cheerful not busy. Journeys should memorable and sweet . Life is a journey let's make it

sweet and happy.

Memorable Journey

My most memorable journey was to Oregon, U.S.A. My family and I left on an early summer morning.

While we were in the car, we opened the windows and the cool breeze caressed our faces. After travelling almost half way, we stopped near a beach. Only a few people were there. We just took

some photographs for fun and then continued on our journey.

Then after nearly two hours, we reached a hotel. We had to stay there for the night as our destination was still some distance away. For dinner, we went to a nearby family restaurant. We ordered a veggie pizza. We were very hungry and polished our plates!

It was seriously the best pizza that I had ever tasted!

We went back to the hotel. It had a swimming pool, so after a while, my siblings and I went there for an evening swim. We had a great time. The next morning, we again got up early and checked out of the hotel. In about 3 hours, we reached Oregon. We went to our cousin’s house.

In the evening, we climbed a huge mountain. It was a very difficult and dangerous thing to do. But it was worth the climb! On our way down, my foot slipped and I was about to fall. But I regained my balance.

From there our cousins also joined our journey. We went to Seattle, Washington. We again stayed in a hotel, for dinner, we walked to a near-by restaurant. I ordered spaghetti and realized that my Mother makes it much better! The next day, we visited the Space Needle. We could see almost the whole of Seattle from up there. We

took some pictures and bought a bottle with a picture of the Space Needle as a souvenir. While returning back from our trip, we went to the Crater Lake. It is said that the Crater Lake has the clearest and most blue water in the whole of United States. There was a lot of snow over there. It was the first time I had ever played in the snow! I realized that it was just like ice.

Our trip lasted for eight days. But those eight days were one of the most memorable days of my life.

I have a dream that one day I will…

“I have a dream that one day I will…;” suddenly Neha stopped. Rahul immediately asked “.What

happened? Why did you stop?” She replied, “In the universe we have many Galaxies, many

planets, many countries, many states, many cities and of course many people; and every single

person in the universe has a dream. I am sure that my dream doesn’t matter to anyone. ”Rahul

with a smile said, “Good observation! But you are someone very special to yourself. Your dreams

do matter to you. What others think doesn’t matter. ” Neha had a smile on her face and then

she continued ….. “I have a dream that one day I will be a true citizen of this country.” Rahul

said, Neha your dream is very unique.” Her class mate, Riya, said, “Neha lets go back to our

class and share your dream with our friends.”

Rahul and Neha went back with her to their class. They had to give a speech in class about

their dream and then Neha started with her speech. When she was done with it, her classmates

started laughing! They said that she had a boring dream. Neha was very upset at being made fun

of. She started crying and went to her Principal and told her about the way she had been

humiliated in class!

Her Principal listened to her, calmed her and told her not to say

anything to her class mates. She advised her to just work towards

her dream and show them what an asset she could be to her

country!

After ten years when Neha had become an I.P.S officer and she

had fulfilled her dream of becoming an ideal citizen, her

classmates came to her and felt sorry for having made her cry all

those years ago Neha smiled and said that she did not remember the incident!

But Neha knew that their unfeeling laughter and her Principal’s encouragement had

strengthened her convictions and she was where she was because of them.

I have a dream…..

I have a dream that one day,

I will become a good person,

With luxury car, lavish house

And a man with no tension

People will follow me blindly.

Whenever I will step out

They will definitely ask for an

Autograph or a selfie.

For money I have no hunger at all

A name for myself is my call.

My parents keep asking me for my goal,

I tell them, am listening to my soul.

I know I will say ‘No’ to ‘Give up’

My precious life I will always pick up,

Let go of some and to others hold on

A name for myself and I will have won!

I have a dream that one day I will…..

“I have a dream that one day I will…” Sana stopped as she looked as the beautiful night sky; “

What?”asked Jordan “…..that I will fly high like the alluring birds.” Sana finished “That’s not

possible!”Jordan remarked.”

“Persuade yourself…Just try to,” Sana told him.

Sana was a fourteen year old angelic girl. She

always wanted to fly away somewhere, but

everyone always told her that she should not

think about it and focus on her studies. “Mom,

can I ever fly away?” Sana asked her one day.

“Oh! Just stop thinking about it!” her mother

replied, “I’m telling you, just focus on your studies uh…uh….you know Sana that I want you to be

a doctor. Work hard for it otherwise I’ll get back you married off! Now, go and study!” “uh

hun…” Sana said and she went to her room. She was just wondering when she heard a thump it

really frightened her. She ran down stairs and saw that her mother had fainted! Her father

was called and they took her to the hospital. “I’m afraid that she just has very little time to

live.” the doctor told them. “What! That’s not possible! She was fine half an hour ago…Please

doctor, do something!” Sana pleaded. “I can’t live without her…”Sana was so shocked. “We’ve

tried a lot you know, but she is suffering from a deadly disease, she knew and wonder why she

did not tell you!”

Page 24: Creative Buzz

After a few days of Sana’s mother passing away Sana felt alone. She found herself in a web.

She wondered about her future whether she would become a doctor or marry early. She wanted

to speak to a real counsellor who would guide her, who would help her in this situation. She

asked her father if she could visit her Aunt in Jammu, he agreed and then she boarded a train

for Jammu. Her Aunt was very happy to see her. She was kind to Sana for she knew that Sana

was grieving for her mother. One day she confided in her Aunt, “… ummm, I felt much trapped. I

am not sure what I should do…should I follow my dream or my mother’s? Her Aunt was very

kind, she patted San’s head, drew her

close and said “Do whatever your heart

says, learn to understand the universal

language.”

“Does the heart speak?” she asked.

‘Yes it does, if you want to hear it, your

heart has the power to change what the head tells you to do. If you listen to your hear, you will

find your way.”Now, Sana knew what she had to do with her life and she was sure that her

mother would be very happy if she was happy.

Where the birds and the aeroplanes fly…

Oh….what a great day it will be,

My dream is to fly in the sky and then see

The town below, look down I will

Till I have had my fill.

What a wonderful feeling of being up so high,

The thought thrills me that I will be up so high

My dream is to fly in the sky……

This dream has taken away my peace

And I want to complete it at any price.

I have a feel that it will make me complete

With other fliers I will compete.

Who soars the highest in the sky?

It will be me and I know why.

I have clearly defined my ambition

This has become my life’s mission.

I know I will fly up in the sky

Nothing is difficult if I try. Shresth Goel, X
